Getting the heck outta San Fran, 7/5/09
« on: July 05, 2009, 04:59:29 pm »
Astros lead 4-0 top of the 7th.

Astros have solo shots from the two '09 All Stars and Jason Michaels (starting against the lefty today).  Don't remember how the other scored.  Randy Johnson out of the game after 3.2 with left shoulder soreness.

Giants got a hit in the top of the 5th.
In the end, my dissolution with the game of baseball will not be a result of any loss of love for the game, rather from the realization that I can no longer bear the anger its supposed stewards cause to be built up in my soul. -Lee (01/08/2013)

Yeah, the pucker factor was pretty big on that slide...

Kepp (I think) with an RBI scoring Bourn.  Roy with a 2 RBI single (though out at 2B trying to 'stretch it').

Middle 8: HOU 7, SF 0

ETA: Wasn't paying attention to 'why' Roy was going to 2B.  Footer Tweets that "Roy knocks in two with a single to left, then tries to steal second after ball gets back to pitcher."

Roy was so f'ing safe!
"(512) ybbodeus looks just as creepy in HD as in person."   That is a problem, and we are working on it.

Solo HR by Arilia puts the Giants on the board.  Giants follow that up with their 3rd hit of the game but leave him stranded at 1B.  End 8: HOU 7, SF 1

Astros go down quietly in the T9.  WIth the shutout gone, LaTroy comes in to finish it off. 3 unassisted x 2 and a 4-3 ground ball ends it.
