Royales with Cheese v. Mrs. Mia Astros, 6/24/09
« on: June 24, 2009, 10:19:35 pm »
With all y'all paying attention to the CWS, not that it ain't deserved, there wasn't a "thread for posterity" for this game until now.

So in the bottom of the 10th, we were down 3-2 with 1 out until Pudge, hanging on 2B, got batted home by Kata. Man, did that boy run.

Now it's tied up 3-3, 2 outs, Astros have runners on 1 and 2, and Miggy's up.
And, by the way, f*** off. --Mr. Happy, with a tip of the cap to JimR

End 10, Miggy struck out swinging amidst a ton of boos. Fulchino now on the mound for the Astros, Olivo up for the blues.

Shee-yit. Olivo goes yard with Fulchino's first pitch. 4-3 Royals, top 11, no outs.

Oh, I see what you did there.  Didn't notice that accent at first.  Carry on.

So who saw the top of the 9th? Michaels' catch-no-it's-not-a-catch off the wall was pretty fascinating.
I remember all the good times me 'n Miller enjoyed

But the future has to change - and to change I've got to destroy
Oh look out Lennon here I come - land ahoy-hoy-hoy

That was strange. I wonder what he said to the Royals bullpen guys (who were waving frantically to tell the umpires it was not a catch) when he trotted back out there.

Pretty awful strike zone in bottom 11 there. Oh well. At least it's been nice to see Ortiz and Oswalt throw two very good games.

A catch-no-it's-not-a-catch? I'll have to find a replay of that, didn't see it.

I agree, that home plate asshat's BOT 11 strike zone was terrible.
