CWS June 23, 2009
« on: June 23, 2009, 06:34:07 pm »
Game delayed at least one hour and fifteen minutes due to lightning, rain, and high wind.

If this series has done anything, it's convinced me not to move to Omaha.

I've had a blast every time I've been in Omaha and Lincoln. But yeah, I would not want to live there.

Oh, I'd LOVE to go to the CWS.  It looks like Mardi Gras with less stupidity.

Still, I know my great grandparents moved from Ukraine to Omaha.   And that idea lasted, I believe, 3 months.

Looks like we're gonna actually play.

I'm not trying to sound like a total fag here or anything, but my god, who DRESSES Erin Andrews?   I don't mean just this series, it's been like this for years.   When she's not trying to look pregnant, she looks like a color blind Sooner.

you CANNOT make 2 plays like that when you are a pitching/defense team.
I believe there ought to be a constitutional amendment outlawing AstroTurf and the designated hitter. I believe in the sweet spot, soft-core pornography, opening your presents Christmas morning rather than Christmas Eve and I believe in long, slow, deep, torture of Bud Selig.

2-1 UT.   LSU scored on an E6 that should have ended the inning.

Jungman is in the process of passing Romance Taylor for second on the "Best Former Temple Atgetes Who Didnt Actually Attend Temple High School." But we don't get many athletes, Wildcats or not, to make a name on a national stage.

Green will start tomorrow.  Ruffin should be good for an inning or two since it's his normal day to throw a bullpen.  Mr. Jungmann is going to be very rich in a couple of years.
Crazy Joe McCluskey was fucking nuts.  It's why they called him Crazy Joe.
