I like Darin Erstad...really, I do.  But he's killing me.

Perhaps Coach, if he's watching, can chime in, but Backe looks awfully stiff to me.  Very straight up, not bending his back.  He doesn't look comfortable.

I can't imagine he's not feeling some pressure out there tonight.

I'm really feel for him right now.

I can't see what he's bringing to the table right now.  On the field at least.  There are certain guys that you keep around for other reasons.  Guys who are good for the club even when they're not playing well, as the saying goes.  Not sure if Erstad is one of those guys or not.

I get the sense that he's an "above-average" clubhouse guy, if that's what you mean, but yeah... he might be near the end of the line. I suppose Abercrombie would be the guy you'd call up to be an extra outfielder?

I would like to see Ramirez, at least you gain a spectacular defensive OF'er. Heck, can Michaels and bring up Abercrombie too.

In a tie game in the 7th at the Ballpark in Arlington?  That'd be about as silly as bunting over one of the leagues fastest players with none out in the 7th in a tie game at the Ballpark in Arlington...

I see what you did there.     I would have let bourn try and steal 2nd, myself.  If it works, then you can either swing away or bunt him to 3rd with keppinger.

HUGE play in this game.
The rules of distinction were thrown out with the baseball cap.  It does not lend itself to protocol.  It is found today on youth in homes, classrooms, even in fine restaurants.  Regardless of its other consequences, this is a breach against civility.  A civilized man should avoid this mania.

Awesomeness!
In the end, my dissolution with the game of baseball will not be a result of any loss of love for the game, rather from the realization that I can no longer bear the anger its supposed stewards cause to be built up in my soul. -Lee (01/08/2013)
