No one is giving the Astros much of a chance this year. Makes it kind of exciting, actually.
As it stands, and being as objective as I can, I'd guess that the Astros are an upper 70's win team right now. The rotation has to potential to be good/very good, much better than people are giving it credit for, imo. Much of that is on Hampton. The defense mostly solid so far. Pence and Bourn are the wildcards on offense. I'm worried about 3B and if Pudge's bat speed hasn't caught up to his age.
If a few of those things break right, there's no reason why a +70's win team, imo, can't turn into a high 80's+ win team, and into the playoffs. That's why they play the games, as they say.
