Read it and weep.

Quick question: what happened to the SnS own Dutch Shortstop?  He is one of us but I have not heard much about him lately.  Is he slated for some short season work?

Jan Baldee.  I'd expect him on the new GCL team this year.  He made a few appearances in the VSL last year and didn't do much.

Awesome, he has an automatic nickname now: Dr. Cornelius!

BTW - of the short season kids (new draftees), several had some impressive showings (at least impressed the scouts who saw them):

Jason Castro
Brad Dydalewicz
Jordan Lyles

Might prove out that the Astros knew what they were doing this past draft.

The 2008 draft is very promising.  There is some promise at the upper levels, though it is not very deep.  There is depth at the lower levels.  The middle is very very weak.  Salem Lancaster will likely be very bad this year.

So, Noe' is not content with putting Hampton on the DL for the year, now he has to go after the yearlings?   Just call him Anakin.

First Hampton, then (inadvertently) Paronto.  Now our new draftees.
Noe, why do you hate the Astros?
Don't think twice, it's alright.

I hope Urckfitz makes it to Houston, just to hear Milo try to say his name.

It's a little known fact! that "Urckfitz" was the last line of dialog in Citizen Kane in the original screenplay.  It got changed to "Rose Bud" in a studio-ordered rewrite.

Fantastic job as always. You can't find this depth of information about the farm system anywhere else. The work you guys put in is very, very much appreciated.

I'm so pleased that my random guessing earned me a not last.

Thanks a lot for putting this together.  I know it's a lot of work, but it's greatly appreciated.  Just a fantastic repository of knowledge.

Yeah, I tried to get a dutch Shortstop one time. She told me it would be $50 extra; but I didn't have the cash!

Noe, why are there 20 players in the top 10?

Good job, guys.
I believe there ought to be a constitutional amendment outlawing AstroTurf and the designated hitter. I believe in the sweet spot, soft-core pornography, opening your presents Christmas morning rather than Christmas Eve and I believe in long, slow, deep, torture of Bud Selig.
