Reds vs Roy
« on: September 25, 2008, 07:49:23 pm »
Roy gave up a first inning dinger to Patterson.

Looking to keep the streak alive, struck out the side in the 2nd

Bourn with a nice opposite field knock down the line to plate 3 and spot Roy the lead

Bourn with a 2-out, bases loaded double to make it 3-1 in the bottom of the second.

Turned it on just in time to see the replay of the Bourn 2 out, 3 run double.  Nice to see on a number of levels!

We're getting Plano-Plano East HS football here on Time-Warner.
I remember all the good times me 'n Miller enjoyed
Up and down the M1 in some luminous yo-yo toy
But the future has to change - and to change I've got to destroy
Oh look out Lennon here I come - land ahoy-hoy-hoy

I had to change when the announcer said, "he has to jump onto someone's fanny."  Fuck Time Warner.

I blame Selig.  If home field advantage in the WS was decided by best record instead of this insane all-star bull shit, Cubs would actually have a reason to play.  I doubt you'll see Bob Howry in any close game situations in the playoffs.

Marlins coming to NY looking to fuck somebody up.  Also counting on the rain to piss on MLB.

The Marlins have to sweep the Mets. Let's hope they play as well as they did against the Astros last week.

Cabrera can't help himself.

I just took a work break to check on the 'stros and noticed something ... Roy has as many hits tonight as he gave up, and has driven in as many runs as he allowed.

At the risk of repeating my bad reference that nobody commented on the first time, it's not his job to pitch to contact ... it's his job to get the other poor bastard to pitch to his contact.

OK.  Pull the plug and back to work.

Bourn's spitting a bit more discreetly now, Taras.

Correction:  just not as often.

Good times indeed.  We'll see if it holds up another 5:54 or so...
