As opposed to not being able to see the games at all?  Sure!

Use it at the office and on the road.  Not as good as EI, but definitely does the job!

Not sure if anyone (Lurch, OSF, whoever) was gonna do PBP.  I will gladly delete my post and sit back and watch the game if someone else wants it.

Can I get a divorce for mental distress?  My husband just came in and ranted on and on--Why didn't the Astros get Adam Dunn and sign him longterm, put him in RF, and put Pence in CF?  Then he went on to bitch about how they passed up on the comeback player of the year--Jim Edmonds.  Missed the entire bottom of the 1st inning.

Hey everybody, I was out all day.  Are the Astros gonna pick up Bonds?  Or maybe, since he's a black hole, d'ya think they could trade Ausmus for Dunn?  I bet Drayton had a nice pep talk for Lee before he went in for his surgery, right?  I'll hang up and listen...

Aurilia

grounds the ball down the 1B line, barely fair, Berkman takes a stab and misses, it slowly rolls into foul territory before being fielded. Scored a DOUBLE.

Not good on that play. Sharp liner to left, Wiggy comes up to throw out the runner from second, but the ball rolls up his arm. He makes the throw anyway, it gets cut, and they nail the batter at 2nd for the third out.

Crust on the top or open, Jane?

Crust on top, not on bottom. Sort of a biscuity top rather than a rolled pie crust.  Was a little lazy I guess, but I actually prefer the taste.

Gints are 21-7 at MMP since 2000.

Twenty one and seven. That averages three our of four every year. Pathetic.

Despite what's going on tonight, they're a shadow of those earlier teams.  Of course, you could make that case about the Good Guys too.

I presume their shadow's a bit longer than ours, though.

EDIT:  What about that?  Does their sucking more than we do these days in comparison to our respective yesterdays translate into a longer or shorter shadow for them?

See first you get a chicken, then some pot...

Reminds me of the classic Beverly Hillbillies episode.

Smoke some Crawdads.

I was in grade school then, and I remember watching that episode with my Dad. Poor fellow had to explain all of the jokes to me.
I remember all the good times me 'n Miller enjoyed
Up and down the M1 in some luminous yo-yo toy

Yet they are only 9 games back in the NL worst west. The Astros are 12 1/2 back.

Before the season on paper, I didn't see how they could NOT lose 100 games.

There's video of Carlos and Mary Lee pre-surgery.  Carlos says he might take Roy Oswalt's advice and just cut the finger off.  I appreciate the update of how the surgery went, just don't need it from JJdJOdO (w/video).  He's a joke.

If Wiggy starts wobbling to field a hit or two out there in left, los cabelleros won't have to go into hibernation after all; they'll just need some cultural instruction on how to feign some kind of union jack soccer hooligan look; Limey could be their consultant.

Blum to PH for Backe.

foul, ball, single to LF, Loretta gets the stop sign, but Bourn runs through 2nd anticipating Loretta to go home, throw comes in to 3rd, Bourn retreats--he's a freakin' dead duck on the water, then Loretta takes off for home, gets tagged out.   BS baserunning by Bourn.  Someone screw his head on a little tighter.

I haven't been watching him closely today; is Bourn running better?

Shut up.

No, seriously (for once).  Last few times I've paid attention, he was still favoring his ankle.  He clearly flubbed rounding second on that hit, just curious if he looks like he's running like he used to.

Billy Sadler RHP (0-1, 4.56) comes in to pitch.

Matsui

ball, called strike, ball, swinging strike (why are you swinging at that junk?) fly ball to LF, caught up against the wall.  1 out.

I could really use some good dark chocolate right now.  Like the 80%+ stuff.

Actively avoiding spoilers.  Fucking NBC doesn't think the west coast needs to watch anything live.

The NBC decision is a little odd. It's not like the west coast doesn't work in live events in different timezones all the time.

Mums the word from me on results.

The worst part is the broadcast still has that little "LIVE" in the corner - even though it's 3 hours delayed.  It seriously pisses me off.  Plus, all the live stuff doesn't start until the 10pm est / 7 pm pst hour anyway, so it would be easy enough to do the same broadcast on both coasts.  Forget access hollywood for a couple of weeks.
