God damn, Joe West is a bad balls and strikes umpire.

JD doesn't care for his 'skills' because he's a 'hitters' ump. Usually lots of walks in his games.

He called a strike 6 inches off the outside corner, then two pitches later calls a ball ON the outside corner a ball. WTF?

He's obviously still drunk from hopping around the 'natti C & W nightlife scene.

Blum follows suit on the next pitch.

Damn! Encarnacion breaks up Wandy's perfect game with a solo homer, 2 outs in the bottom of the fifth.

Commend the zoners for having the good taste not to mention said possibility until it was gone.

Affeldt gets a 1-2-3 inning in the top of the 7th. Still 8-2 Astros, 7th-inning stretch in progress.

Likely out for the season.  LINK

Quote from Lee: It's pretty bad. I have to get it operated on and they say six to eight weeks, so probably, I'm out [for the year], unless the guys make a comeback and I'll be back for the playoffs."

Lance needs to remember who's playing 2B when he goes lunging for those balls halfway between 1st and 2nd.

Some great D that inning from Erstad!

ETA: the fly out might have been payback to the Reds fans for doing the wave during that AB

You can say that again. For the third out.

With the bases juiced.

Don't look now, but the good guys are only a game away from .500

Just in case, though, I'm going to give my wife my debit card as a sacrifice to those who may or may not have noticed mihoba's observation, as well as his follow-up remark...preventative medicine, so to speak.

That's not a sacrifice, that's a requirement.

Not to worry, I didn't predict anything. I also specifically said not to look!
