Not doing PBP from the left coast tonight, but thought that I'd point out that Pence did not get his first out of the evening from either a groundout to the shortstop or a swiging strikeout on an outside slider (fouled that one off, struck out on the fastball).

[For the rest of the top of the 1st, Matsui struck out swinging, Berkman singled on a liner to right, Lee singled on a fly to left (Berkman to 3B) and Tejada flew out to center].

Middle 1: HOU 0, WAS 0

Roy is leaving the game, Paronto to pitch.

This is not good.

Yeah, shit. I came in and turned on the TV to see Brad single into right center and then see Paronto come up to hit.

The good news is that this season is down the toilet anyway, so it doesn't really matter if Roy needs to be shut down for several weeks to get right.

How did Tejada not catch that liner?

Fuck. Belliard is such an annoying tub of goo, and now he goes deep.

Has there been a report yet on what the prob is with Roy (hip presumably)?

On a side note, seems Chacon woulda spent less time in the bullpen this year than Zito did but for the fact he is a COMPLETE DUMBASS.

if Cooper is sending Oswalt out there not 100% this season, then I think he should be fired.  Not because I am a reactionist but because he is more concerned with saving his own neck rather than walking the plank on a sinking ship.

Instead of fuckin' suggesting he fuckin' look in a fuckin' mirror, fuckin' Wade should have just fuckin' grabbed a fuckin' mirror and just fuckin' held it fuckin' up in front of Chacon.

Nat announcers on Bourn: "sometimes when little guys hit home runs their batting average goes down."
