I don't doubt that they'll test positive for his DNA. But even if they also find steroid traces on those things, it would seem like they'll have a real hard time proving that the steroid contamination didn't occur sometime in the nine years (or whatever) since Clemens got poked. It's not like there's been an airtight chain of custody on this shit.
Wow. I'm trying to mentally place myself in Mac's shoes. I'm sticking DQ with 'roids and then I have a moment of decision of what to do with the needle and bloodied gauze pad. Shall I wrap and toss them in the nearest waste receptacle? Or should I place them in a zip lock bag (or whatever) for the reminder of time just in case DQ ever accuses me of defamation of character? Hmmmmm... <tap> <tap> <tap>. You know, on second thought, I better keep this shit,
just in case.
I have little doubt as to Raja's guilt, but the above scenario all seems a bit unlikely, weird, maybe even fetish. Almost like an extreme fan shaking the hand of the object of their obsession and not washing their hand for days, weeks, months, because that hand touched their blessed hero.
