Quote
Tests of syringes and other steroid paraphernalia that trainer Brian McNamee submitted to federal agents will test positive for Roger Clemens' DNA, according to a brief filed in court by McNamee's lawyers.

Does Cabrera use steroids?

I don't doubt that they'll test positive for his DNA. But even if they also find steroid traces on those things, it would seem like they'll have a real hard time proving that the steroid contamination didn't occur sometime in the nine years (or whatever) since Clemens got poked. It's not like there's been an airtight chain of custody on this shit.

Wow, McNamee made only 3K this year and can't pay his lawyers?

Wow.  I'm trying to mentally place myself in Mac's shoes.  I'm sticking DQ with 'roids and then I have a moment of decision of what to do with the needle and bloodied gauze pad.  Shall I wrap and toss them in the nearest waste receptacle?  Or should I place them in a zip lock bag (or whatever) for the reminder of time just in case DQ ever accuses me of defamation of character?  Hmmmmm... <tap> <tap> <tap>.  You know, on second thought, I better keep this shit, just in case

I have little doubt as to Raja's guilt, but the above scenario all seems a bit unlikely, weird, maybe even fetish.  Almost like an extreme fan shaking the hand of the object of their obsession and not washing their hand for days, weeks, months, because that hand touched their blessed hero.

not that we haven't gone round and round and round on this topic too, but since when has the idea of Covering Your Ass/Blackmail Material become such a foreign concept?

When you are a douchebag in the company of douchebag doing illegal things, maybe the idea of holding onto what he thought was a Get Out of Jail Free Card, doesn't seem like such a crazy idea does it?
Here are just a few of the key ingredients: dynamite, pole vaulting, laughing gas, choppers - can you see how incredible this is going to be?
