For some reason I'm able to pick up the game on MLB.tv.

Love watching 'em play in the ole' Rainbows...

And Carlos crushes one down left left field line to make it 1-0 (hit it hard in the first inning as well, missing an RBI or two with a great catch from Upton).

Top 4, Astros 1 Rays 0.

Damn, it's already the 6th inning? I forgot about the early start. I'm forced to watch the Rangers...on mute.

Top 8:

Tejada: grounds out to 3B (nice play).  1 out, none on.
Berkman: to 2B on a strikeout in the dirt and poor throw to 1B.  Good heads up play and hustle by Puma.
Lee intentionally walked.  1 out, runners on 1B and 2B.

How is it that ESPN can get this shit on their bottom-of-the-screen ticker before MLB GameTracker can figure it out?

I wouldn't want to be the ghost that tries to fuck with Brocail tonight.

What do you want me to say?  When someone gets excited and proclaims that the Astros are going to win, the BBG's are angered.  I was just being realistic.  This team is country bad.  The Rays are playing their asses off.  Was kind of a no brainer once the bases were loaded against Broc with 0 outs.

Hitting Navarro with an 0-2 pitch was probably the fatal blow. I have a feeling that our itchy-fingered owner might wack Cooper sooner than we think.

"Milo" and "reason" don't belong in the same sentence unless you're describing the former's lack of the latter.

Bullshit.  This team isn't that bad.  Tonight was a bad night for Brocail, but he's pitched his ass off this season.

True, they aren't this bad.  But they aren't as good as they seemed in May, either.  They seem to only know overachieving and underachieving, nothing in between.

Ahh, see, when I saw your comment, GameDay was still telling me that the leadoff hitter was up.  If you made the comment after the Rays already had the bases loaded, that's a different story.   I submitted the "cut your tongue out" comment after the second single showed up on GameDay.

Heavy workload?  In the last 8 days, he's pitched exactly 2 innings.

How many batters did he face?  I'm not being sarcastic, but he's not been Mr. 1-2-3 from what I've seen.

Having said that, my faith in Coop having the merest fucking clue about what he's doing is becoming a little shaky. Can they send him down to AAA with Towles to get his mojo back?

Meanwhile, Brocail had pitched 3 out of the previous 4 games. I think it's a bullshit excuse about Valverde, not that it matters. Coop seems to have the reverse Midas touch right now, everything he touches turns to crap.

Welcome to the cellar, Astros.

This team is better than that, and if it takes a new manager to run the show, so be it.

I just read that Dave Clark is joining the club to be the third base coach for a while.
