Surprised that Foo Fighters is the main act and sad that Kings of Leon couldn't make it, but I'm pretty happy with the lineup.

It'll be a fun weekend.

There is not one fucking band out of all of them that I would want to see. Maybe Jim's right.

Vampire Weekend is all the rage these days. Click here to see them in action. Warning: Instant loud noise on this link.

ETA: I forgot to mention the obvious SnS connection to the band: their bassist is Chris Baio, who may or may not be Scott Baio's nephew.

.
They're not for everyone but I want to see the Mars Volta as much as anyone on the list. They are phenomenally weirdly great--who else writes a rock operas now-a-days? Not to mention one about shaking the curse of a demon-possessed Ouija board.

Missed Arcade Fire; skipped The Killers for Bjork (half the size, twice the voice).  Blond Redhead were good.  The Gotan Project were excellent (something about sexy women in slinky dresses singing sultry latin tunes).  In an enclosed space, the prick from LCD Soundsystem would last about 10 minutes before getting a punch up the bracket from yours truly.

Kings of Leon are the most overrated Indie band out there.  They had no stage presence last year at Monolith.  Even my friend who loves them thought it was a shitty show.  Definitely would be a let down to have them close things out.

I've loved them since I got my hands on Youth & Young Manhood.  I saw them with the Burden Brothers at Stubb's when I still lived in Austin, and the show definitely did not disappoint.

I wouldn't have expected them to be the main act or close the festival out, but I would have liked to see them again.  I'll keep my fingers crossed for a late add.

Seriously?  Over Del "You must brush your teeth if you must" the Funky Homosapien?  He really kicks out some good ol' Texas honky-tonk.

My picks:

Beck. The Raconteurs. Erykah Badu. Tegan and Sara. Iron & Wine. Vampire Weekend (every song on that album is damn good). Silversun Pickups. Del. M.Ward. Foo Fighters. Okkervil River. David Byrne. Galactic.

I must be gettin old!!! Or I am just not hip anymore? I haven't heard of 80% of these bands and the other 20% don't do anything for me. I think I will just sit on the back porch with cold beer and listen to some Who or Kansas or something I can understand.

One of the bands you relate to hasn't released a studio album since 1982, and the other one continues to release albums but hasn't had a single or album chart anywhere since 1986...and you're asking if you're old?

I'd think that it'd be pretty rare to know all, or maybe even most of that entire list. Seems like music is so much more specialized and spread out than it was in the past, probably cause of teh internets.

Very disappointed in this line-up.  Charles Attal is has drawn a line in the sand between this and Lollapalooza.  Previous years there has been a nice eclectic mix of bands at ACL, not so much this year.    But hey, beats working.
