I saw a great game tonight
« on: April 11, 2008, 11:19:50 pm »
When I got to my sons' game tonight, the Astros were up 3-0.  The bottom sure fell out in a hurry.

I did however see a tremendous pitching performance tonight.  I don't toot my son's horn much, but tonight he pitched a complete game (6 innings), 4 hits(all singles), 17 Ks, 1 BB, 0 ER.  Maybe he stole all of Oswalt's karma. If so, he needs to give it back.

He wasn't that great at the plate, 1-4 with a walk and 2RBI.  Big brother was 2-5, 2 Ks, 1 RBI.

17Ks in a six-inning game? Damn, that is dominant.

He's 13 in Junior League (13-15 yr olds).

On the first pitch of the game, he was hit by a come-backer to the mound off his calf.  Stayed in to pitch, but today he is pretty bruised.
