to a minor league deal and sent to RR

The name seems familar?

Game 2 2005 ALCS Angels v. White Sox,
A.J. Pierzynski struck out swinging to end the ninth, but wasn't ruled out because Eddings said the ball hit the dirt and Angels catcher Josh Paul didn't make a clean catch of Kelvim Escobar's pitch -- even though Paul clearly did. Eddings checked with Rapuano; the blown call stood, and Pierzynski was safe at first.

Ausmus
"I think, in Josh Paul's mind, there is no question, and the replay seems to show he caught the ball," Ausmus said. "I understand why he assumed the batter was out. By the same token, he did reach down toward the ground, and the umpire's behind him, so [Eddings] can't tell for sure if the ball hit the dirt or not."
"If in my mind, I think it's close, I'm going to tag him or throw the ball to first," Ausmus said. "Or [I'll] turn around and look at the umpire, show him the ball and get a definitive out call."

So, who gets bumped at RR?  Josh Johnson?
"Go play intramurals, brother.  Go play intramurals..."

That would by my thought. I was also thinking this would be insurance for losing Q.  A MLB seasoned Catcher who can be ready if Towles has to be sent down.

Paul showed some cajones last night watching ball four with a full count, two outs, bases loaded in the bottom of the ninth. I enjoyed it.

A little off topic but, I'm a relatively new Astros minor league fan... I've seen Quintero listed as a 1B in some places. Does that mean that he, Paul and House could all stay at Round Rock?

no one is happy that Q is at RR.
Often wrong, but never in doubt.

Well ... Count me as the exception, then.

Why and where do they want him?

Last night they started Q at catcher. Paul pinch hit for the pitcher and sometime in the middle of the game, House came in to catch for Randolph and the other pitchers after him. Guess that's how you could use all three.
