Wood gives up 3 runs in the top of the 9th.  Gagne gives up 3 runs in the bottom of the 9th.

I had a feeling Gagne would spit the bit.  If this is what they're going to be like throughout the season (both clubs), then they're in for a long season of frustration.  See: Lidge, Brad/2007/Houston Astros.

One game doesn't tell us much, but by the end of May we will know if this is the norm for both teams.

also of interest....3 of their 4 hits including the 3 run homer are by Fukudome

And Zambrano is mildly hurt.  So all in all this isn't a very good day for the Cubs even if they win.
