New to me, strong malt flavor, stout hops.
Poured a beautiful golden amber? color.
Might take me awhile to appreciate this beer, like it more with each taste.
Wonderful aftertaste.

The 90-minute is a hoppy mofo. Too much for me.

I had two Sierra Nevada pale ales yesterday, reminding me of how really, really good that beer is.

I have to be really pissed off about something to want a beer that hoppy. But when the situation calls for it, no other IPA will do.

it's probably the best IPA i've ever tried. also the most expensive! i think a 4-pack was $9 at HEB...crazy. great beer, though. much higher alcohol content than a normal beer, if i remember correctly - maybe 9%?

I love it. But for some reason it is like Tequila to me. Three beers and I'm rolling around in the neighbor's bushes. It's definitely expensive, but it has a high alcohol content. I have a kegorator and have contemplated getting it several times, but it's around $200 for a 1/4 keg. Ouch.

I usually elect for the 60 minute because it makes more sense economically.

I really like the 60 minute. Today we were at Central Market picking things up for the Easter dinner, and they had 4-packs of Aprihop, an IPA brewed with apricots. Oh, what the hell, I thought, so I bought some. I'm drinking one now, but the jury is still out.

And for anybody watching the NCAA tournament, Blake Griffin is a stud. He's a remarkable combination of power and finesse.

It's certainly not an IPA but I dug out a bottle of the Saint Arnold Divine Reserve #5 tonight for a six-month tasting. It was yummy last fall; now it has mellowed considerably and is even better.

Love it. The brewery is in Rehoboth Beach, DE, our summer family reunion spot. You can walk to the brewery and buy it in glass gallon jars. You can bring the jaw back (empty) for a refill. A perfect summer week.

David. I've been going to Bethany for the past 5 years. When is your annual trip?

And I didn't even know about the brewery. Looks like I have a new field trip for the vacation this year.

If you are ever in New Zealand try Monteith's. It's a beer produced by a South Island brewery located in the oh-so-appropriately named, Greymouth.

Monteith's is good stuff. I was in New Zealand this past August and had a few. Waikato was my favorite after spending a long day hiking.

Tried to get some more at a drive-through beer barn, but they only had the 60-minute version. Tasty, but not the same. The barn dweller told me of the 120-minute brew that comes out around the holidays. 12% abv!!! Should make Thanksgiving with the in-laws much more bearable.

They release batches a couple of times a year. I'm pretty sure I saw some in Grapevine the other day. It's fairly expensive, as you can probably imagine. $9-10/bottle.

I was in the little Spec's on Holcombe near the TMC yesterday and they had some of the Sisyphus, Avery's The Beast gran cru (16.4% abv!), and Dogfish Head 120 Minute. I grabbed one each of the first two and need to go back for the 120 Minute, which was over $9 for a 12-oz bottle. The Avery beer was $7 for the same size and I just couldn't justify dropping nearly $20 for two beers.

Tried the Sisyphus tonight; it was okay but a little too citrusy for my taste. A big dose of American hops is fun from time to time but I prefer English hops in bigger beers. At least it wasn't soured, though.

I don't know what's going on with the Whip-In, they've changed their store around and it seems like their selection has diminished while their prices have increased. Any way for close to 11 bucks I finally got a bottle of the 120 and all I can say is, WOW, that's some beer! Beer sake.

Just had my first (and second) Dogfish 90 IPA this weekend. Wonderful, wonderful stuff. They only had bottles at the Hobbit Cafe, but their Real Ale Brewhouse Brown on tap was a nice touch. The waitress said only five bars/restaurants in the country carried the 90 Minute on draught -- something I dismissed as an exaggeration.

I just picked up a four-er of Dogfish 90 Minute and a sixer of St. Arnold's Summer Pils (personal seasonal favorite) for the weekend and I ran across Dogfish Indian Brown Ale. Leroy at Spec's on Stella Link said it tastes more like Shiner Bock than anything, so I decided against it.
Anybody here tried this IBA?
