Law and Order...London? (Non-BB)

They're really expanding the series now!  Not sure what they'll focus on, but maybe it'll involve this guy, handing out ASBOs to this guy.

They'll curse much more. I caught a string of Kitchen Nightmares on BBCA last week (it is even better than the already addictive US version).  Ramsey manages to curse twice as often while getting censored half as much.

Or we could be really cruel and inflict David Caruso on them.

In the UK it has been claimed that ASBOs are treated with contempt by young people, and in some cases are even seen as a badge of honour.

My brother and I each got busted several times by LCB agents for underage possession of alcohol while in high school.  In each instance, we were sent to an alcohol awareness class as punishment, at the end of which we would receive a certificate-looking thing certifying our attendance.  He and I would frame them and hang them in our bedrooms, sort of like a diploma.  Drove my poor mother up a wall.

He had a classic cameo in the finale of "Extras" on HBO, where he had a slanging match with Andy Millman.  Of course, it being HBO, there was no censorship.

I wouldn't be surprised if, on the BBC proper, Ramsey goes out uncensored too.  The old rule was that everything before 9pm was G-rated, but afterwards anything goes and you let your kids watch at your peril.  Monty Python, for example, pioneered what became the classic 9pm Friday night time-slot on BBC2 for alternative comedy.  They also used to show R-rated movies uncut after 9pm, but have since moved to showing the edited-for-US-TV version, which is fucking shit foggy stuff.

To bad the US version is not being picked up for a second season.  Good show, but the BBC version is a little more realistic and hopefully Hells Kitchen gets another run.

The US version was scouting locations as of last week in LA and NYC.

It's coming back.  I've run into at least a half dozen people who also quietly admitted to being sucked in.  The show is very formulaic, but it works.

Nevermind, I suck.  That was 1/3/2007.
