First Santana, then Everett, now Lamb...

Do the Twins know something the 'Stros don't?

Boy WadeSmith is breaking down the character of the team at a fast and furious pace.  The new 'Stros better play awfully well, because if they struggle it's going to be ugly.

You are joking putting Santana's name in there, right? Just checking...

I'm surprised by the lack of talk about Lamb this offseason.   I think he has been a very under-appreciated part of the team and will be missed.

I too am a bit surprised by the lack of talk, but only because EVERYTHING is talked about to death around here (and I mean that in a good way). But I don't think he'll be missed that much. This team has changed so much that the role of each player is much different. Blum will replace Lamb more than adequately in the field when needed, and Cruz might do a good job filling in at the plate, but even if they don't, in the scheme of the whole team, I don't see it as much of a loss.

I think we've covered Lamb.  Yes, certainly he can hit, left handed and is effective as a pinch hitter.  But, he can't field a position.  He plays two positions, he wasn't going to get any time at 1st.  More importantly, Lamb has said for 2 years he wants to start.  He wasn't going to start for the Astros and likely wasn't very interested in negotiating a contract as a bench player anyway.  That's just summing up.  I dont think I've added any new information here.

Unfortunately for Mike and the Twins, Minnesota does not play Matt Morris and the Pirates in 2008.

He has good upkeep of the yard though.
