Is he worth a look?

Of course.  But, is he healthy?

Given our needs and the paucity of starting arms, I'm willing to take flyer on a 100 game big league winner.

I'm not sure what's more feasible: Garcia or Jennings.  Considering Garcia made 10 mil last year wouldn't Jennings be a better risk/reward scenario?  He should come cheaper (I would think), he's three years younger, and they probably have a pretty comparable upside.  I just don't know much about either's current health.

Word on the streets is that he may not make it back to a major league club until late in the season 2008.  He's a signing similar to Mark Mulder last year.  Don't look for him to be anything but a long term project for anyone.

Thanks. That makes sense.
