It's not exactly ACL, but in the list of great classical guitarists, this guy would get a mention in the top 10 or so.  Don't know if there are any tickets, but he's worth seeing.

Saw him way back when with the "Guitar Summit" of Pepe, Leo Kottke, Paco Pena and Joe Pass. I was there mainly to see Kottke and Pass but Romero and Pena were equally impressive.

I saw Kottke years later, and he told a hilarious story about Pepe on the way to one of the summit concerts having to change a tire in a tuxedo while not breaking a nail.  Maybe it was just guitar humor, for people obsessed with breaking nails.  Those must have been great concerts.

Awesome, I have "Songs my father taught me". It's an excellent album. Maybe he'll be in Austin soon.

Edit: Doh! Just missed him. He came on Oct. 6th :(
