Good for Jackie Moore.

Yes, but also Ricciarini. Wade bringing someone from Philly to head up scouting?

I have to think Clark gets the RR gig. He let it be known he was ready to move up after three years in CC.

Surprised at the number of holdovers. Maybe the MBA's feel it was the players after all.

Robinson tells me they are going to be looking at some younger arms:

Albers? Nieve?

That is why I have the ? there.  Albers has pitched well and there is Samson to consider as well.  We might see some of our young arms moved to fill other holes.
Always ready to go to a game.

Uhh, Wandy is probably going to be there too...  See this is the reason why I thought trades were going to happen last off-season... since it didn't I am guessing it will this year... but then I never seem to be right on that...

Gordon Lakey, however I'm not convinced he would leave Philly to come back here.  His brother David Lakey was the predecessor to Ricciarini.  BTW - Dewey Robinson finally gets a major league gig.  Not only does he know most if not all the minor league arms in the system, he knows everyone that is in the majors that came through the system... like Oswalt, Backe, Wandy and Albers.

Regarding Robinson, maybe, they also reported that they are working on a proposed position for Wallace where he would not have the travel requirements as he would as the pitching coach.  If I were making a wager, I'd bet that Wallace and Robinson are switching roles.  That's based on nothing more than what I've read in the news.

Quote
The Astros hope to keep Wallace on staff in another capacity, perhaps in an advisory role.

"They're going to put something together," Wallace said. "They were very complimentary. I've done a lot in the front office. I'll probably put the uniform on and do stuff here and there, but I need to get home for a week or 10 days every month."

Gordon says he'll stay with Gillick until he retires. then, he'll come back to the Astros. i'm hoping Wade tries to get him now.
