Relevant stat, or coincidence?

29 — Home runs by the Astros this season from the sixth spot in the lineup, tied for second most in the majors.

Obviously it's not all one guy hitting those 29 HR, but I think the Astros are actually pretty well-set with Luke Scott and Ty Wigginton as 5/6 hitters. I hope they can give both guys starting jobs next year. The key obviously is who can lead off- ideally it would be the 2nd baseman, but there doesn't seem to be such a player in the org. or among the FA class. Burke playing SS with Ransom at 2B indicates to me they are thinking about both more as utility guys.

I'm assuming they'll commit to Wigginton and Scott (certainly Ty) if for no other reason it makes it easier to focus on the more critical needs during the off-season.

With Anderson around do you really think Scott is still in the picture as much more than a 4th OF?

You think Anderson's gonna start next year? I don't.

I don't know. I guess I read too much into Jim Molony's article:

Anderson can play all three outfield spots, but his best spot is in center field. The Astros already have Hunter Pence there, but may decide to move Pence to right field. If so, a center fielder must be found. The Astros will look at free agent possibilities this winter, but in the meantime, they want to check out Anderson.

I wouldn't rule it out. They want to get more athletic and better defensively says Cooper.

Go to a Chick-fil-A restaurant and order a chicken sandwich, then give them the ticket.

I wonder if the fowl powl stays there next season.  That is the third time sandwiches are given away this season.

i hope the cows go, but wager they'll stay put.
aren't the cows larger this season than they were last year?
..because chickens are decent people.
