Who have you liked?
« on: September 04, 2007, 01:30:27 pm »
Out of the teams that Houston has played this year, who has most caught your eye?  I liked the Angels with the exciting balance throughout their lineup.  I don't know if their pitching will hold up, but they impressed me.  Also, that Ichiro guy with the Mariners is pretty good.

The Cubs.
The Diamondbacks.
The Rockies.
The Brewers.
The Phillies.
The Angels.

Not that any of those teams are complete teams, just that I liked watching them play ball.  The Diamondbacks were especially fun to watch play.

I think the Marlins are a couple of years and a couple of players away from being very good. Again.

I still like the Brewers.

I was going to say the same thing. Hanley Ramirez is having quite a year, not only threatening the 30-30 club, but also the Biggio/Speaker 50 doubles-50 SB mark.

I don't mind watching the Brewers. I hate them because they play us it seems like 50 times a year and I get tired of Hardy, Hall, Hart and Fielder kicking the crap out of us but they aren't a bunch of assholes and I like when Oswalt and Sheets go at it. I wouldn't feel bad rooting for them in the play offs. They are very similar to the Astros player wise and management wise
It's all part of the game.....

The Brewers, D-Backs, Padres, and Dodgers. I'm so sick of the Pi-roots I could flog a baby seal.

The Angels line-up was the fastest and most athletic I've seen.

I saw the Brewers & Marlins in May.  Really liked the Brewers.  Their line up can be very scary.  Pitching is their issue.
Always ready to go to a game.

The Angels have Rivera back too and hope he'll provide some more pop like he did last year.  If he comes back strong they will be very tough to beat.

I can't understand how anyone around here could like the ScRubs or steM.

I liked the Angels, lots of speed and at least when they played us, ability to get on and cause issues.
I liked the D-backs potential.  Lots of good young players and any team that can take away the Yankee's "God-given right" to be World Series Champions, and do it off their "god", Rivera ussually seems to have a soft spot in my heart... even if the rat bastards swiped Randy Johnson from us.

I don't like them.  In fact, I don't like any team other than the Astros.  I do, however, like how those teams *play*.  I still hate the sCrUBS and steM.
