On Field For BP
« on: August 27, 2007, 04:36:02 pm »
Despite me being an idiot to half the people here I was just curious if anyone has ever been on the field for Batting Practice. We got 4 passes for on the field BP on Wednesday. My dad was AstroJack during the 1981-82 season and Mike Acosta, ticket sales guy was in need of some old mascot pictures so my Dad compiled some for him and emailed them over to him and he gave us that as a gift. I'm just curious what anyones experience is with this? I know he told me you can't ask for autographs, but I'm more intrested just to meet some of the guys and shake their hands and what not.
Make a runnnnnnnn!!!!

Don't ask for autographs, and don't bother anyone in, near, around or headed to the cage.    Stick to the back stop or railings, and don't get your feelings hurt if the players blow you off.

Got to talk to Dierker, Glenn Barker, Bill Spiers, Biggio, got completely blown off by Caminiti, who later apologized.

And please don't start telling them some of your "ideas" about the game.

No, do.  Tell Brad Ausmus all your great ideas.

No you won't because there would be possible reprocussions. There are no reprocussions for your actions when you're in the stands.  You bought your ticket, and you can do whatever you want, regardless of the appropriateness.

Actually I was thinking that Crawford would fit in perfect with the folks on the Justice Blog on the chron's website.   He could join the back slapping for getting Purpura fired thanks to their Boo-ing.

There ya go CB, you will get along great with those folks, they think just like you.
There are three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who has the same first name as a city; and never get involved with a woman with a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Now you stick to that, and everything else is cream cheese.

If my boy ever responded to anyone in this manner, he would be picing his ass up off the floor.  It would be either me or you doing it, but it would happen.  The world has gone to Hell in an Astros season, or Astros season in Hell, or something.  This punk needs his ass kicked, or to promptly STFU.
