Comical takes baby steps to respectability

I believe there ought to be a constitutional amendment outlawing AstroTurf and the designated hitter. I believe in the sweet spot, soft-core pornography, opening your presents Christmas morning rather than Christmas Eve and I believe in long, slow, deep, torture of Bud Selig.

I'm confident they'll fill the void with more crap.

I'm confident they'll fill the void with more video clips of John McClain slobbering over Anna Megan Raley's chesticles.

Adios, John P. Lopez.

Here's my favorite "comment" at the bottom of the page:

I think I just threw up in my mouth a little.

Ahh... the insightful revelations of illiteracy combined with ignorance.

I like to think that might have been intentional. Kind of like Berkman's "writer of wrongs" quip.

But the future has to change - and to change I've got to destroy
Oh look out Lennon here I come - land ahoy-hoy-hoy

STEPHEN A SMITH is getting run off from his writing gig too, reportedly.

http://deadspin.com/sports/cheesy-doodles/stephen-a-smiths-caps-lock-to-get-a-well+deserved-break-292154.php

Reading that you could really replace Richard Justice (or JdJO) for STEPHEN A SMITH, minus the references the shift key.

Quote
Sources believe Smith's column has been in the cross-hairs for some time. "There was a time when the powers that be were just happy to have somebody that's on ESPN on the masthead," says a source who spoke on condition of anonymity. "But I think the new leadership has been asking itself for a while now whether or not the columns [he] was turning in were justifying his [reportedly generous] salary.

The good news is that no longer will Stephen A. Smith be weighed down by the burdens of, you know, sportswriting.

There are three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who has the same first name as a city; and never get involved with a woman with a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Now you stick to that, and everything else is cream cheese.
