Garner in the postgame - 7/2/07
« on: July 02, 2007, 10:46:08 pm »
Ortiz asks if Garner thinks Pence is making it look easy. Garner doesn't know how to answer, laughs pretty hard, and then gets confused (light headed I think from the laughing) and has to get the question again. Then he says 'Pence is hitting very well...'
Oye. Vamos, vamos.

Was that Mctaggart trying to ask Williams, "what are you doing different"?  And wouldn't take, "nothing, trying to do the same thing" for an answer?  "Yes, Brian, you caught me, before, I was thinking, how about a high fastball or a hanging curve?  Now, I realized, oh hell why not try to keep the ball low and in."  Yes, a car has more than one spark plug.

I don't know his voice, but Woody seemed irritated by the whole exchange.

Me too.

I usually can't hear the question very well, but the players often seem very agitated with the line of questioning and is likely the source of seemingly odd statements that gets printed in various news outlets. I can usually discern JdJO's stuttering, however.

Odd Titles too!  Astros' Williams hopeful he's figuring it out

Somethign tells me the Williams quote previously referenced in this thread is the root of this title.
"If you don't read the newspaper you are uninformed, if you do read the newspaper you are misinformed."

"If you pick up a starving dog and make him prosperous, he will not bite you; that is the principal difference between a dog and a man. "
