http://www.statesman.com/sports/content/sports/stories/other/06/30/0630bohls.htmltrade everyone you can, maybe including hunter pence. and thats going to stop the bleeding. everyone has an answer to the problem of the astros this year but no one has a solution
Anyone else heard about Jennings wanting to end up in San Diego?
Actually, I think it's a psychotics exchange program, Jim.
he is a self-described "close friend" of Justice. 'nuff said.
At 13 games under .500 and in fifth place, a whopping 13 1/2 games out of first in the mediocre NL Central before Friday's game with Colorado, the Astros should put the "For Sale" sign outside Minute Maid Park.
Doesn't the National League Central's first-place team also have the league's second-best record, just one game off the best record in the league? The division as a whole may be mediocre, but at this point catching Milwaukee would require becoming one of the best teams in baseball. It's not like going a few games over .500 is going to get you there.
i'm surprised he did not use the tombstone and RIP. i loathe Kirk Bohls.
Bohls' only positive contribution is that he displaced John Maher from the sports page.
They must have met at a "Sports Journalists Who Loathe the Teams We're Assigned to Cover" club meeting.Bohls is a douche-bag of the highest order.
Being negative passes for "objectivity". Also, they have to say "I'm sorry but..." a lot.
Bill Sullivan was the all-time worst. "choke" was his favorite word.
That's true of notable national and international newspapers. But they seldom if ever say, "sorry."
Seriously, when was the last time you read anything that could be described as insightful written by KB?
Kirk Bohls gave the 2006 Houston Texans NFL Draft an F-. I replied and told him many national writers like Mel Kiper and Rick Gosselin of the Dallas Morning News gave the Texans A's for the great depth of that draft and that his grade was a knee jerk reaction to their first round pick. He replied saying nothing, something like "we'll see".
he writes just to irritate readers, imo.
