We were guessing station to station and poor baserunning for reasons. Better throw Manso in that mix as well.

King Felix has looked very ordinary tonight.

He's 19-21 career with an ERA north of 4. He's looked ordinary on most nights, but had a 1-hitter against the Sawks.  In the eyes of the worldwide leader, that makes him one of the greatest ever.

i should say hyped IMO a bit much in the national media.  the "king" moniker, stuff like that.  i think alot had to do with that matchup he had with Matsusaka early in the season at Fenway, which happens to be his only start where he lasted past 6 innings.

i should say hyped IMO a bit much in the national media.  the "king" moniker, stuff like that.  i think alot had to do with that matchup he had with Matsusaka early in the season at Fenway, which happens to be his only start where he lasted past 6 innings.

21 years old.  Mid to upper 90's fastball.  Rushed to the majors at 19.  Obliterated every minor league level despite inconsistent breaking pitches.  His minor league hype was deserved, but he is a lesson in the jump to the majors.  He no longer deserves the over-hype.  But, his future is very bright.

I am getting more and more convinced that Bidge's 3000th hit will be a double down the left field line.  It almost has to be.

I'm going to walk into Barnes & Noble tomorrow and see one of those big display stands loaded with 50 copies of "The Book On Hunter Pence"...

Awesome.  Milo just told us (twice) about the Montgomery Burns and Friends in attendance before (very excitedly) telling us that Ned Flanders was celebrating his birthday at the park tonight with his friends and family.

so glad you heard it, too!  is anyone keeping up with these?

Now tied for 6th place on the all-time doubles list with HOFer Napoleon Lajoie.

657 doubles and 997 extra base hits.
