okay, if you aren't a troll this explanation should resolve this issue:
No one here plays nice. If they do, you'll never know because they play nice by ignoring you. As to why you garnered the response you did, I'd simply suggest you re-read (assuming you read it the first time) the Manifesto and Forum Guidelines. It will serve you well once you understand it. If you re-read and still are unsure, follow this rule of thumb: read more, post less.
The crux of the issues is that not all ideas are treated equally here. Nor do all ideas deserve equal treatment. Your initial post of "I think...." is irrelevant. Our opinions mean little. However, what really got this shit-storm blowing was your sensitivity to others calling you on the value of your opinion. Don't come here if you don't have thick skin or can't otherwise ignore negative comments (perceived or otherwise).
Hope this helps you get a better assessment on this site and how it operates. Most of us started this way, some to lesser degrees than others. However, if you shut up, read more, post less, ask more questions and offer fewer personal opinions (unless it's on something you can substantiate in some form or another) you will find there is alot one can learn here as well as some incredibly funny people who are only too happy to share a glimpse into their warped and/or perverted brains, at least on the subject of baseball (although off-topic discussions are very common).
