Lee is incorrigible. Why pass up the opportunity to humiliate Lance? Pence will be pitched around this game, just wait

I think we need to strap Lance's throwing arm to his side. Bad things happen when he tries to use it.

And Edmonds. Somehow he can be hitting .090 against the rest of the league, and he's still an Astro-killerl. Now he walks.

Is anybody else watching this in HD tonight? Are you seeing some foggy artifacts during transitions from one camera shot to another? I'm hoping that what I'm seeing is just the cameras/editing and not my television.

I haven't noticed any, but I'll keep an eye out for it. I did notice some gray pixels earlier in the game but figured it was my dish.

I just saw a bunch of ghosting and pixels when Pence stole second. There was a close-up of Wainwright and it stayed on the screen while they cut away to Pence.

Whereas the Astros generally manage to be the best-game-pitched-against for a lot of shitty pitchers this year, it should be noted that they now have the distinction of being Adam Wainwright's TWO best games-pitched-against this year.

If the ump rubs the pigeon shit out of his eyes, he makes the right call.

Yup, that was an out, and it wasn't even a difficult call: the runner was off the bag while the tag was on him. But that's the way this season is going for the 'Stros.

Nah, its this de-emphasis by the umps of making the runner actually execute the slide. JD is always saying shit like 'if you beat the throw, you are going to get that call.'

Crap. Does anybody else try to go 2nd to 3rd on a medium-depth liner to center with a 4-run lead? Everybody and their dog is going to be running on Pence from here on out.

I have an announcement.   Not bitter.  Not angry.  Doesn't mean I won't watch every night and I'm not suggesting you stop watching either.

This team isn't about one guy not getting his hits or that guy not pitching well or a bench or a bullpen or whatever.

This just isn't a good team.

We were contenders for something like 9 of the last 10 years.  You can't ask for more than that and you can't expect to contend every year.  We got spoiled.  This team, as is, ain't going nowhere.  If they do, feel absolutely free to drag this up against me later.

The bullpen didn't manage to shutdown the Astros pathetic offense.   Again.

Not to worry, we will.

This just isn't a good team.

Thing is, in this division you don't have to be a good team to be in the race.

You won't have the chance.

Man.  It's a baseball team, not the pope.  You don't have to believe they're great or it says something about your fanhood.  This is not a playoff bound team, as is.  Make some trades, release some players, sure.  As is?  No chance.   Can't win 'em all man.  Have to be below average every once in a while.

That's true, but its such a cop out for a weak team.  I think its a poor excuse for any team to rely on.
Today seems like a good day to burn a bridge or two

That's true.  I just meant it's a good reason not to give up on them.
