for real...i am sure the Reds had the same delusional thoughts last year--until they figured out they didnt have a bullpen, Adam Dunn got back to working on his Jose Hernandez imitation, they overpaid for bullpen help, and still found out they didnt have a bullpen.

Maybe, but I think the Brewers are much more legit than the 2006 Reds.

Not me.

Or maybe we should define "legit."  The Brewers are a "legit" 82-80 team.

By legit, I mean that I expect them to still be within eyeshot of 1st at least into August. I don't think 85-88 wins is unreasonable for them, maybe more if they really put it together.

Their pitching is thin, if you ask me.  And offensively they are playing over their heads.  Check back in mid-July.

I don't know. Sheets, Capuano, Suppan and Bush ain't a bad top four at all, imo. Cordero has given up 1 ER in 16.7 innings. Sheets' health might be their biggest obstacle. They're definitely playing over their heads, offensively. As of now, JJ Hardy's on pace for 52 home runs. They do have a lot of really good young players, with the operative word being young. I think that they'll be tough all season, but will definitely slide back some from where they're at now.

They'll slide back, but I don't think they will slide back too much.  I don't think 85-88 is unreasonable for them right now.  Now, if they fall into injury problems, all bets are off.

So Lisa Novak is a Brewers fan...

I agree with you. I could see them winning 85-88 games if every one stays healthy. I like Bill Hall, and I think that Rickey Weeks has a lot of upside.

85-88 wins isn't all that amazing. They're a good, young team with some quality arms.
