He went golfing of course. Clemens played in a charity event at Plainfield Country Club in New Jersey on Monday. Hey, getting in pitching shape could wait another day. Or two.

A: I'm pretty competitive. I want these guys to have a good time and I think they did. Anytime you can win a pro-am of this magnitude, it's a great time.
Plus, we had a lot of side bets. That was really, really important.
Q: So you're lining your pockets pretty well even when you're not under contract with a major-league team?
A: I think so. It's a good time.
