Apparently in "Building 44" there is a gunman who has barricaded himself inside.  This is according to KPRC's traffic copter.  Also saying "shots fired."

ETA: My inclination is to say that this is just the post-VT media jitters, but then again, we all know that the copycat syndrome is real.

It's over.  2 people dead:  1 male hostage, and the suspect (suicide).  Female hostage was left unharmed but "duct taped."

As a therapist living and working in Clear Lake and working with some in the NASA population, I'd have to agree that there is something odd going on. I don't know if it's a systemic problem or a bunch of isolated incidents, but my anecdotal evidence makes me think it might be systemic.
