For his first three outings, has he pitched (a) better than you thought he would, (b) exactly how you thought he would or (c) worse than you thought he would?

B... or at least pretty much how I thought he would.

(b) is my answer as well. I think that he'll improve as the season goes on. My concern when we signed him was the effective commitment of the bullpen to about four innings every fifth day on his part.

you have to throw out the Phillies game unless you also are going to say that Oswalt has pitched worse than you expected.

I agree. The Phillies start was under difficult circs. Ozwalt has pitched as well as I expected. That complete game gem was outstanding.

B - which is to say he's really a 4th starter and 5-6 inning pitcher at this point in his career, and a team that slots him #2 is in trouble.

I don't think anyone is dogpiling.

Woody has pitched pretty well in my opinion.

I think he has pitched ok for the most part.  Just too many mistakes up.  I'm hoping he'll get on track and eat up a couple hundred innings.

He has missed up in the zone. His stuff isn't good enough to do that. I think that if we get 150-175 innings out of Woody, that'll be acceptable.
