He's tired after four games?
-
Thanks for starting the thread, SD. I was running late.

I'd guess more likely that they're just making sure he doesn't aggravate it as he comes back.

Rest assured, Hap, that Pettis will wave you home no matter how late you're running.

Well played, sir.

8 pitches, 3 outs. I'm surprised all our bats haven't turned into sawdust.

Formosan termites, man. Theyre the worst.

16 pitches, 6 outs.

Ugh. I seriously do not see how this team is going to get to 72?wins.
-
Sure would be nice if it looked like the offense gave a shit about hitting today.
-
Does Odor think he's a fucking springbok or something? Run like a human, you little piece of shit.

Odor's human impression definitely needs work.
-
TUVE!!
-
Jose with a solo dinger with 1 out in the 4th.
-
Adrian Beltre just made me laugh out loud. That "fuck it" left turn was great.
-
I don't think I've ever seen both managers come out to argue the same thing as once before.
-
Banny must've called him a cocksucker.
-
Warning both teams there was so chickenshit. This crew has been pretty awful.
-
That was a great play by DeShields, unfortunately. But don't the Rangers have to appeal the re-touching the base thing?
-
Some shitty baseball there by Carlos. Swing at a bad pitch after a four pitch walk and a base running blunder.
-

What happened?

Andrus threw to 2nd to get Beltran out there.
-
What happened?
Beltran ran to 2nd and rounded, then beelined back to 1st on the catch. He didn't retouch 2nd.
-
What happened?
...and a great diving catch by Deshields in LF.
-
Andrus threw to 2nd to get Beltran out there.
They threw to 2B, that's the appeal. It's a live ball appeal.
-
This home plate ump is fucking terrible. He couldn't find the outside corner with a fucking map.

Thanks. I didn't know that there is such a thing.

Thanks. I didn't know that there is such a thing.
A base running appeal is made at the base where the infraction occurred. If the ball I still live, they can simply throw to that base. It's just like doubling a guy off on a caught ball. That's a live ball appeal.

That makes sense. Thanks.
-
Beltre ties it with a solo HR to RF. No outs, bottom 6.
-
And Keuchel punished again by the fucking scrub behind the plate. Keuchel hits the outside corner 2 more times for balls and Beltre eventually hits a homer.

And Cashner gets the spots Keuchel doesn't.

T7
Yuli doubles to lead things off.
Marwin 1U moves Yuli to 3rd
Carlos singles to LF. Yuli scores. 2-1 Astros.
1 on 1 out.
-
T7 1 on, 1 out.
Fisher walks on 4 pitches.
McCann flies out to RF.
Marisnick Ks.
2-1 Astros mid-7

Call the Policia, Odor robbed by La Pina!

I didn't see nothin',
-
God damn it. We are powerless against base stealers. And Devo makes me really nervous right now.
-
DEVO!
(whew)
-
Can't do anything the easy way...
-
Why do they hate beating the Rangers?
-
Well, that was certainly unexpected!
-
Giles: 3 pitches, 3 outs.

Wow.
-
YES!!!
-
I thought going to Giles for a 6 out save was a panic move, but AJ sure as hell pushed the right button there.

I'm at the game. Lots of rangers fans left after the 8th.
They haven't been paging attention to the Astros for the past few weeks.
-
Nice fuck-you breaking ball for strike 3 to Napoli.
-
Exhale! Astros win!!
-
Man, did we ever need they win today! Nice job by Dallas!! Hopefully that will be the performance that puts him back in the zone. Also, kudos to Giles for a critical 6 out save!!!

Finally, but thankfully.
Nice to see Keuchel and Giles come through.

Yeah, he knew he needed to get some outs without contact. As it turns out he got two with hard contact, but finally a break went our way.
-
Now go get Verlander.

that can't be. I just saw on another site he and Luhnow need to be fired. I gotta quit reading that Rivals shit.

The Astros thread there is inhabited by idiots. Do not read it. Ever.

I know. I have been taunting them for a few days but there is no winning with idiots.

Hinch is a miracle worker. I have no idea why anyone would have anything other than the highest praise for what he's done as manager.

Yeah, that's one reason to think he's an idiot. But only one. No sure being from Oklahoma counts.

But what did you say about Stanford psychology graduates? Something about a red flag?

I am sadly guilty on both counts as well (although it looks like he moved to OK when he was young, instead of getting the fuck out).

Did I ever mention we met in PSYCH162 - Psychology of Gender
