No Altuve.  That isn't good for a club needing to start a winning streak.

On McTaggart's twitter, it appears that Jose is just being given a day of rest.

I can think of roughly 12 guys I would give a day off before Altuve tonight.

On the radio last week AJ said he has been looking to give Jose and Carlos a day off.  I'd guess we see Carlos get a day off later this series depending how things are going.

Not to mention, loads of different candidates for him to pinch-hit for in the later innings, so he may extend his streak anyway.

People may say Maddox or Jones, but I'm not convinced that they could get to anything that Jake couldn't.

Give me Michael Bourn in his prime.

Bourn could go and get anything, but Jake's arm can charge it up to near triple digits from the OF.

Gomez should not be in CF when Jake is playing

If I had a Time-Turner, I'd go back and make sure that Gomez cleared his physical with the Mets.

After that, I might think about doing something about Hitler.

Yeah, what does he bring to the table?  Nothing.

Marisnick needs to be in center every game. Yuli (assuming he can play OF as reported) in left asap. Kemp can play out there when match-ups/rotations warrant.

Luhnow is not doubling down on Gomez by resigning him. He has publicly stated that he's been disappointed with that trade, although not in such direct terms.

Particularly when you weigh in that they had plans to slot Gattis in at back-up catcher. I would not have let Carter walk for nothing, however. There was room to maneuver on the 25 man.
