I don't think he's seeing the ball very well. Maybe that will get better as he gets more home games under his belt.

I thought that was his problem in the first inning. Didn't get a good jump because he lost it or something. Very costly non-catch and, yes, I think Marisnick  would have caught it.

Extremely mediocre outing by Kazmir.

He was terrible in the first with no offspeed pitch at all but pretty good thereafter.

Joe West said, "sorry Mr. Gattis, I'm the worst umpire in MLB, other than my soul mate Angel, and that's the way I called it. " The humility was actually kind of pathetic.

I think Castro is a fine catcher.  His pitch framing skills are outstanding.

I have no issues with Castro. He is a good catcher and usually hits 9th. When the guys batting in front of him are doing their jobs no one bitches about him. It was just a couple of years ago this team was so bad he was hitting 4th.

If Valbuena is gonna play 1B, he's got to learn to come get that ball or go cover 1B. He can't just stand there in the way.

Hopefully they are getting a lot of shit out of their system tonight. Losing to the team that just got swept by Arlington.
Astros need to win the next 3 with Dodgers coming in.

The end of August ain't the time to be "getting it out of your system". You need to be clicking this time of year, not shaking off the cobwebs.
