Anyone else have Comcast Sports? You think Eric Young was the only applicant for his job?

I have the WGN feed and I don't think they had anyone else applying either.
-
Astros up 7-5 bottom of the 6th.
-
Martinez pitching and just gave up a single and double on two pitches with no outs.
-
I switched over to the Houston CSN broadcast which through some quirk of the space-time continuum is forward in time. Someone scored so its 7-6 and 1 out.
-
Martinez balks a guy in. Game tied at 7-7.
-
De Aza singles to drive in another run. 8-7 White sox.
-
Astros end the inning with a double play. White Sox up 8-7.
-
Carter knocks in Dominguez on a 2-out single up the middle. Tied at 8.
-
I stayed completely out of the GZ tonight and the bullpen still sucked.

They weren't losing till I sat down and started watching, so I assume its on me tonight.

There have been years when this could be true. But let's face it, the bullpen sucks when we watch and they suck when we don't.

Martinez is looking better this inning, so maybe it was nerves or something.

But there are signs of life. Lo has looked good most of the time. Zeid has pitched well in spots. Chapman has come up and thrown well. The season is too far gone for it to matter now but there is a bullpen in the making. They just need some experience and hopefully a couple of veteran presences added in the winter.

and don't forget FIELDS!

Wow. Jones has a live arm. Going to the bottom of 8 tied at 8.
-
Hoes is not afraid to make those hard throws.
-
To the 9th inning, still tied at 8.
-
DOMINGO POWER. Astros up 9-8.
-
Carter follows up with another HR. Astros up 10-8.
-
Carter back to back. The 'Stros have possessed the White Sox bullpen.
-
Against the guy I picked up to be my fantasy closer. So I brought some luck to the good guys tonight.
-
Wallace sends a high fly to 3rd for the 3rd out. Astros up 10-8 bottom of the ninth.
-
Zeid pitching for the Astros.
-
Interesting that the Astros have hit back to back homers 5 times this year. Matty D and Carter have done it 3 of those times.
-
and don't forget FIELDS!
Sadly he does not figure to pitch tonight.
-
Zeid pitching for the Astros.
I have great faith in Zeid.
-
Ground double by Konerko. Runners at 2nd and 3rd with 2 outs. Dunn up.
-
Chapman coming in for lefty-on-lefty action.
-
I have great faith in Zeid.
Great faith. Really.
-
Who the hell is this guy?

Who the hell is this guy?
Zeid or Chapman?
-
Zeid or Chapman?
Chapman. Zeid I've seen.
-
Whoever he is he is coming out of the game.
-
Bases loaded two outs. Couldn't tell who was coming out to the mound.
-
Well, this is entertaining. Lyles in to close. Or lose, not sure yet.
-
Chapman. Zeid I've seen.
A lefty that's been with the big club for a couple of weeks.

Came over from the Royals a couple of years ago.
-
Lyes gets the strikeout. Astros win 10-8!
-
96 mph heat from Lyles on the corner for the K. We may have found our closer.
-
Unhittable pitch for strike three.
-
Martinez gets the win and Lyles the save.
-
Martinez gets his 1st career win and Lyles gets his first career save. A memorable night.

Someone here has been saying that Lyles has a future as a closer. Mr. Happy maybe?
-
Martinez gets his 1st career win
He certainly earned it.

After starting out 3-0 no less...

Sports Fans, this game is an example of why you do not give up on Carter.

He has had a big role in many of the team's few wins.

He has had a big role in many of the team's few wins.
And a big role in the team's many losses. If you use last year as a base line, he is trending down in all offensive categories. But if he plays regularly through the end of the year he is going have 30 home runs and 80 rbis - nothing to sneeze at. And he is going to come close to the all time strike out record. He will be 27 next year. The Astros can afford to invest another full season in him to see if he can improve his contact. If he can, he will be a monster.

Exactly. This team has time and ain't going anywhere anytime soon. Let him play. This is the AL after all.

I'm in agreement. Let's let him play.
