Title: Rickroll the New York Mets
Post by: otterjb on April 05, 2008, 09:37:47 am

takes you to:

http://newyork.mets.mlb.com/nym/fan_forum/singalong_vote_form.jsp

The vote is for what song to play for Shea's last season during the 8th inning. Looks like a lot of people have been writing in Rick Astley's, "Never Gonna Give You Up," effectively RickRolling the entire Met fanbase.

In case you haven't heard of it:

And a very important link to something you should take very seriously:

Wow.  That was so unbelievably painful.  I feel like I just took an ass whooping from a gang initiation.  Me thinks that the dance routine of the singer sums up how 90% of us white boys dance when we're at a club.  I will never dance again.  Damn you otter!!

Yeah, it's pretty much a cringe-inducing, gawd-awful piece of video history that has seemed to of infected much of teh internets.

I've always liked Nick Lowe's song "All Men A Liars" and it's reference to that Rick Astley song. It starts with the chorus, then in the first verse, Nick sings how Rick Astley's big fat hit was ghastly (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bg-BiWZMXPA).

While on my youtube kick I might as well share vids.

This one is not new to the net, but by far the funniest: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c6KWjdWaTnE

Crappy video quality, but pretty good: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qzvDpFC6NDU

Sad, sad, sad: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pfVDynEs_l4

I would if I had an iPod.  It's in C:\Documents and Settings\User\My Documents\My Music\80's.
