About as shocking as Cammy's name, really.

I bet he used HGH laced chew.  Kind of like Popeye and spinach.

No kidding.  Anybody that travelled through New Jersey in the late 80's might have tested positive through airborn osmosis.

It's called the "garden" State because they can't fit "petrochemical-refinery" State on a license plate.

They didn't have that HGH shit back then. Lenny just chewed finely chopped baby.

I just hate John Rocker and the Bottom of the 10th inning.

No. They couldn't use that because that's Louisiana's other name.

I agree with Jacksonian ... you got the wrong state.  NJ is really "hazardous waste dump state" (which also exceeds the license plate space limitations).

Or that John Rocker made the list.  Yeah, he's so 90s, nobody cares I guess.  BTW - Julian Tavarez = roid rage?

Judging by his acne, he must have injected himself 10 times a day.

... in the face

Most people's asses and Julian's face could easily be mistaken for each other...

So Julian Tavarez = Cincinnati Reds.

Since I presently live in the Garden State, I will defend it.  New Jersey is truly a beautiful state, with lovely parks, gardens, farms, forests, and lakes.  But if you are just driving through, you would never know because New Jersey has done a very smart thing -- it doesn't have its highways run through residential neighborhoods.  Rather, the major highways run through industrial areas.  So if you are heading down the Turkpike, you are going to see the petrochemical plants because those also aren't built in residential neighborhoods.  Contrast that with my parent's neighborhood in Houston, which is a very nice neighborhood but it has a sewage processing plant, a highway, an electrical field, train tracks, and all sorts of other inappropriate things running through it.  The fact that I don't have cancer given my surroundings growing up, is fairly remarkable.

PS.  If NJ is the "hazardous waste dump state," then Texas must be the "Pawn Shop State."

So, that's why he ran outside the baseline...  >:(

Dykstra credited "really good vitamins" for adding 30 pounds of muscle to his frame during the off-season.

Not sure I agree with that, but "Strip-club Central" might be something to consider.  Don't know about Austin, but in Dallas and Houston you can't throw a stick and not come close to hitting one.

In Austin, we have back rooms for that.

Barry Bones

Barry Bones came home,
In his jet-black Escalade®
After visiting a clinic across the bay.
He was after more power and stamina
Meanwhile some articles in the Examiner
Had clouded up an otherwise sunny day.
But the juice made him feel stronger,
And his line drives would be longer,
It gave him back the distance he had lacked,
With an MVP and a monkey on his back.

There's a hole in daddy's ass where all the hormones go,
Palmiero lied for nothin' I suppose.
Little pitchers grow big ears,
And get injected in their rears,
Sweet dreams and clear creams and needles between your toes
Mmm....

Barry Bones’ welcome home
Didn't last too long.
He was losing ink to players with far less skills
With Sammy and Big Tweet
Landing missles in the seats
They got the highlights while he was used to fill
But the gold rolled through his veins
Like a thousand railroad trains,
And his forearms grew the size of compact cars,
While his head got bigger than the moon and planet Mars...

There's a hole in daddy's ass where all the hormones go,
Canseco testfied for nothin' I suppose.
Little pitchers grow big ears,
And get injected in their rears,
Sweet dreams and clear creams and needles between your toes
Mmm....

Barry Bones was alone
When he was handed his conviction
Cocky ‘til the end though no one cared
Well, he‘d outplayed all the best
But would be remembered for all the rest
With an asterisk on his HOF plaque up there
Ah, but the game had lost its fun
He couldn’t see what he had done
To ruin things for the fans who called his name
But they’d be over it by tomorrow and go on out to the game.

There's a hole in daddy's ass where all the hormones go,
Caminiti died for nothin' I suppose.
Little pitchers grow big ears,
And get injected in their rears,
Sweet dreams and clear creams and needles between your toes
Mmm....

Wow, thanks for that. I was chuckling until the last verse kicked me in the balls.

Good Grief, if you came up with that on your own... WOW!  that was really creative and funny.

Of course, Houston is just our own little bit of New Jersey that we imported to remind us how lucky we are to live in Texas instead.
