Bonds LF
Durham 2B

Feliz 3B

Lincecum P
-
Winn (5 for 9 in the series) ground out weak to Berkman after 10 pitches
-
Lewis walks on 5 pitches, most rather far outside
-
Lurch, who'd you used to be? I recognize the avatar.
-
Roy concerned about speedy Lewis on 1st. Throws high heat to Klesko to get ahead in the count then works low corners. 6-3 double play on 7 pitches.
-
Lurch, who'd you used to be? I recognize the avatar.
JoshD, but didnt want to be confused with joshuatexas. Considering moving to another state as well.
-

Gotcha
-
What's this guy's name?
-
Lincecum pitching. Drink everytime he is compared to Roy this evening. Bidge quickly down swinging on sinking two seamer.
-
Goodness but he's got quite an arsenal.
-
Dude's got him sum stuff.
-
Lamb weakly grounds out to 1st.
-
Berkman not impressed with Cy Lincecum. Hard liner over short for a single.
-
Lee skys out to Lewis RF, stranding Lance at 1st (at least he doesnt have to walk back to the dugout)
-
Nice liner to left from the Vending Machine. Lincecum, the baby-faced assassin. Hopefully this'll turn out to be one of his rookie year off-days.
-
I could see Lance tagging this guy.
-
Luke cant figure out why the fans chant his name whenever Bonds comes to bat, but tips his hat nonetheless.
HGH owns Roy, 4 for 4 and 4 walks. Infield shift, so HGH pops up to 3b Lamb at SS. (ownership is overrated)
-
Ray Durham makes Drayton uncomfortable. No match for a low and in slider for K #1.
-
Molina. Weak ground to 1B (another drinking game tonight, as if you need an excuse.)
JD - Roy's command is "less than steller so far" but willing to throw curve more often early on.
-
Molina. Weak ground to 1B (another drinking game tonight, as if you need an excuse.)
JD - Roy's command is "less than steller so far" but willing to throw curve more often early on.
35 pitches for 2 innings...not Royish.
-
radio guy said the cubs blew another 4 run lead in the 9th.
-
It's been bugging me since his debut against Cole Hamels, but I finally figured out who Lincecum looks like.
Johnny, the crackhead from The Wire (http://www.hbo.com/thewire/cast/actors/leo_fitzpatrick.shtml) who ran with Bubbles.
ETA: JD says he looks like Ferris Bueller's buddy Cameron.
-
Scott wonders why the kid that threw out the first pitch tonight is still on the mound.
High strike zone for the kid. Sweet looping curve. K on an outside fastball (96)
-
JD said Cameron just as I was gonna type it.
-
Pence!!! trying to extend hitting streak, but Ks on a 98 mph FB high and in (someones been reading OWA)
-

Yeah, definitely. That's a great show, btw. Damn, Cameron strikes out Beaker.
-
Hunter looked surprised at the fastball.
Oh wait, that's his normal look.
-
AE is a great defensive SS. Not so much a power hitter. Towering fly to HGH. 3 Outs
-
Feliz bloops out to Pence!!! on the first pitch
-
AE is a great defensive SS. Not so much a power hitter. Towering fly to HGH. 3 Outs
BTW, Lurch, Thanks for any PBP. Between college and HS baseball games tonight, I hav every little radio or tv options.
-
Vizquel draws Lamb in tight from 3rd (?)
grounds weakly to 1st (Drink)
-
radio guy said the cubs blew another 4 run lead in the 9th.
Dempster gave up 5 in the bottom of the 9th. Eyre tried to stop the bleeding but...
-
But can Lincecum hit? Bats LH. His dad must be proud. He actually has a pretty good swing. Roy still struggling with control, but lays a nice low fastball in on the outside corner for a K.
-
Brad down looking on a FB down the middle. 97mph
-
Roy probably should have just stayed in the on deck circle. K looking
-
Good Gawd, Damn. Wicked.
-
Bidge is due for an elbow plunking isnt he?
What does it say when so many fastballs down the middle are just watched? Looking for something offspeed?
K on a looping curve down the middle. Guess not.
-
Roy probably should have just stayed in the on deck circle. K looking
He has company. Could be a long list tonight.
-
On pace for a 2 hour game
Roy starts at the top of the lineup. Winn Ks looking
-
Lewis is going to be special.
Grounds out to Bidge and has enough speed to at least make it look interesting.
-
Klesko goes 4-0 to walk in front of HGH (wtf)
-
I-thought-it-was-Sunscreen is happy just watching the pitchers dual tonight. Grounds weekly into the shift to Bidge.
-
Anyone available to take over PBP?
-
As soon as they put a Dick's Sporting Goods here in Tampa, I'm going to burn it down.
-
Dang, what a great pitching battle so far. As someone who recently replayed the 1968 season in Strat-O-Matic and didn't see what the big fuss was, I wish I was at Minute Maid tonight.
-
As soon as they put a Dick's Sporting Goods here in Tampa, I'm going to burn it down.
I bought Dicks stock a few years back just to say things like "My Dicks way up today"
-
Lamb Ks on a nasty change low and in
-
Berkman's mear presence scares the first 4 of 5 balls outside
-
Puma with his cat like quickness! Scared Bengay into throwing it into right center, too.
-
Well, well.
-
Berkman steals 2nd. Would have made it regardless, but Molinas throw sailed into center. Berkman to 3rd on error.
-
Carlos Lee with the sacfly to center. 1-0 Astros.
-
Most exciting play in sports, Lee sac fly to CF. 1-0 good guys
Scott grounds weakly to 1st (drink)
-
AAAAAHHHH what the fuck is this Dick's shit?! Fucking dickshit MLB!!
-
Way to manufacture the unearned run. Scoring looks to be scarce.
-
I am going to write a letter to the CEO of Dicks and tell him he can suck mine. That's if I don't commit harry carrey before hand.
I didn't think there was any way the Astros would score a run off of this guy. Wow. This is a pitcher's duel for the ages.
-
AAAAAHHHH what the fuck is this Dick's shit?! Fucking dickshit MLB!!
How could anyone think running the same spot 18 times would make people want to use your services.
-
AAAAAHHHH what the fuck is this Dick's shit?! Fucking dickshit MLB!!
the mlb slipped it in, after getting fans drunk after the first part of the season
-
What's with the "Arizona Bay @ Astros" ???
-
Durham with an easy ground out to AE.
-
What's with the "Arizona Bay @ Astros" ???
Bill Hicks, a legend
-
Molina drives Scott to the wall, F9
-
Broken bat ground out to AE ... moving right along
-
Bill Hicks, a legend
Bingo *via Tool for me*
-
Farmer Ted vs. Cameron!
-
Pence!!! with an infield hit to Vizquel up the middle.
-
Beaker with the infield hit. 1 on 0 out.
-
AE has hit two balls hard off the rookie, nothing to show for it.
-
not one of the funnier ones, but good, nonetheless:
http://vids.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=vids.individual&videoID=758412715
-
AE tags another one, but same outcome, line out to CF this time.
-
Brad F7. Pence!!! unable to move up
-
Roy looking on K #8 for Cy
-
This kid's a pretty good pitcher, eh?
-
Jennings 3 hits no runs through 5 with Corpus tonight.
-
Vizquel Ks looking (#4 for Roy)
-
Lincecum Ks looking on 0-2 FB outside
-
DAMN. No no-no.
-
Exhale.
-
Mother fucker. Thanks, Brownie.
-
No no-no as AE has to hold on to a liner up the middle. Winn to first
-
Mother fucker. Thanks, Brownie.
Yeah, I think he blew it.
-
Dammit. I swear to god, I wasn't going to come into the GZ until the no hitter was over. I show up, start reading thru the posts, and BANG.
Dammit, dammit, dammit.
-
Yeah, I think he blew it.
What'd Brownie say?
We are still without the moving picture tube until tomorrow. Things move slowly out in the hills.
-

"That's an interesting pitching line you're looking at."
-
"That's an interesting pitching line you're looking at."
That doesn't count. You can say that.
You can't say "no hitter."
-
Lewis also goes up the middle (NTTAWWT). Hit #2 doesnt get out of the infield
-
Dammit. I swear to god, I wasn't going to come into the GZ until the no hitter was over. I show up, start reading thru the posts, and BANG.
Dammit, dammit, dammit.
I feel the same way.
CRAP! Two bullshit seeing-eye dribblers now!
-
That doesn't count. You can say that.
You can't say "no hitter."
It felt like he was drawing too much attention to it. JD tried to deflect.
-
Dammit. I swear to god, I wasn't going to come into the GZ until the no hitter was over. I show up, start reading thru the posts, and BANG.
Dammit, dammit, dammit.
I was doing the same but I'm sure,I had nothing to do with it.
-
Nice to see that big smile on Roy's face on that catch by Scott.
-
LUKE SHIT EATING GRIN MOTHERFUCKIN SCOTT!!!!!!!!
-
Klesko drives a ball to the gap but LUUUUUUUUUUUUKE dives for the steller catch
-
Luuuuuuke saved a run there, nicely done
-
"That's an interesting pitching line you're looking at."
It was more like "That's an INNNNTTTTTEEERRRRRREEEEEESSTING pitching line you're looking at."
-
Lidge guessing FB for strike one, check swing at curve in the dirt for strike two (Lincecum isnt THAT new), ball high away, fouled off a high fb, K swinging at curve in the dirt again.
-
It was more like "That's an INNNNTTTTTEEERRRRRREEEEEESSTING pitching line you're looking at."
I get it.
I don't think that counts.
I don't remember who it was, but in the 80s, some PBP guy would let the fans at home know about the no-hitter going on by saying "middle column" as they went to commercial. I wish I could remember who that was.
You just can't Chip Caray it and blab on about the no hitter. Dipshit.
-
Lamb grounds weakly to 1st (drink)
-
It was more like "That's an INNNNTTTTTEEERRRRRREEEEEESSTING pitching line you're looking at."
Exactly. Shut the fuck up, Brownie. I mean, I love you as a broadcaster and everything. But please.
-
Luuuuuuke saved a run there, nicely done
and it still won't be a Web Gem.
Of course, Joe Crede bends over to tie his shoe and makes Top Plays....
-
Dang that 5.2 ERA on the Strangers is sure to be more potent against the good guys than Lincecum's filthy stuff, right?
-
radio guys say jennings had a good rehab start. went 6 innings,
-
Berkman K swinging (#10 for Cy) on a hanging curve
-
and it still won't be a Web Gem.
Of course, Joe Crede bends over to tie his shoe and makes Top Plays....
It'll be interesting to see if Roy gets any love for the effort tonight. Hamels took it one out further last night and they treated it like Don Larsen.
-
Would you punch a little girl steM fan in the face?
-
It'll be interesting to see if Roy gets any love for the effort tonight. Hamels took it one out further last night and they treated it like Don Larsen.
It will be all about the Kid.
-
Only recognition he'll get is for being the guy on the mound throwing baseballs to Barroid.
-
Shhhh. everybody quiet. roy's hunting rabbits. or was.
-
It will be all about the Kid.
Yup.
-
Is all that tape on Steroid Maximus' bat LEGAL? It looks like he's swinging a mummy out there...
-
Fuck, yes, muthafucker. Take that shit and shove it, Barry.
-
Oh HELL YEAH!!!
Shut up and sit down, asshat!
-
Bonds says hi to Evander Holyfield behind home. Compare track marks.
HGH K's looking and has plenty to say about it to home plate ump
-
Shut that piehole and sit down, motherfucker!
-
"fucking outside" whines HGH.
sit down and shut the fuck up.
anybody else gets run for that.
-
AE vacuums up a Frandsen (replaced Durham) grounder
-
It'll be interesting to see if Roy gets any love for the effort tonight. Hamels took it one out further last night and they treated it like Don Larsen.
This is not at all directed at LonghornLCDR but it is my distinct impression that Houstonians and Astros fans in particular spend far too much time worrying about what people in NY and Boston think about us.
Who gives a shit about whether the Astros are picked to win the division or if Roy O is one of the top 5 pitchers in MLB?
Relax, have a homebrew. It's Texas. :)
-
He'll be cryin himself to sleep tonight on his huge pillah!
-
Molina places one between Berkman and Scott. Single
-

I agree. 100 PERCENT.
-
Feliz does the same to center. The trick on Roy is not to hit it solid enough to reach an outfielder.
-
Roy at 105 pitches
Vizquel grounds out to 1st (drink)
-
Whew.
-
Roy at 105 pitches
Vizquel grounds out to 1st (drink)
If I wasn't already drunk, I'd be really drunk.
-
Roy at 105 pitches
Vizquel grounds out to 1st (drink)
Makes a quick 8th even more important.
-
Lee pops out to Molina, 3rd base side, on first pitch
-
Lincecum has lost nothing as the game has progressed. 93 pitches
Luke F9 to deep right center. Looked good off the bat
-
Pence!!! first pitch hacking a grounder to Vizquel. Move on to the 8th 1-0 good guys.
-
Oh man. Too early to take Roy out.
-
The crowd is doing the fucking wave. What a bunch of retards. WATCH THE FUCKING GAME.
-
The crowd is doing the fucking wave. What a bunch of retards. WATCH THE FUCKING GAME.
too much television (insert ironic comment here ____)
-
Roy is pulled for reverT
Roy
7 innings, 4 Hits, 2BB, 6K
Sweeny Todd in for Lincecum (whew) pops out to Berkman (have a glass of water)
Someone in the crowd wasnt entertained enough, so the wave is started. Fuckers.
-
Winn apparently is a switch hitter. Pulls one off his shoelaces for a bloop single in front of Lee.
-
fuckthatshitsideways. Damn it.
-
omg. shoulda been a double play. Roy loses the W. Dammit.
-
fuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuck
-
That is just five kinds of fucked up.
-
I hope Roy was in the shower already. Son of a bitch.
-
Lewis grounds to Lamb who throws it away to RF. Luke throws on target to Lamb who fails to catch it, allowing Winn to score. Fuck. E5 E9. Lewis to 2nd.
-
What the hell? When you're feeling this good, why not plunk him?
-
Anyone know the best way to get vomit out of a keyboard.
-
Klesko makes Bidge stretch but is thown out by a step. Lewis to 3rd. HGH IBB.
-
I left the room and this game was going nicely.
I just walked back in and see 1-1 on my computer.
Someone wanna tell me what the FUCK is going on ???
-
What the hell? When you're feeling this good, why not plunk him?
The Astros' designated plunker pitches for the Jakes now.
-
Good think Lamb and Luke are in there for their bats.
-
Someone wanna tell me what the FUCK is going on ???
Can I do you a favor? You don't want to know.
-
I left the room and this game was going nicely.
I just walked back in and see 1-1 on my computer.
Someone wanna tell me what the FUCK is going on ???
Clank happened
-
Here ya go Alkie----
Lewis grounds to Lamb who throws it away to RF. Luke throws on target to Lamb who fails to catch it, allowing Winn to score. Fuck. E5 E9. Lewis to 2nd.
-
Anyone know the best way to get vomit out of a keyboard.
I would go over to a Cubs board and ask them. I would guess their expertise is unparallelled.
-
Lane in RF batting 9th, Qualls on the mound. 1 pitch F8
-
I left the room and this game was going nicely.
I just walked back in and see 1-1 on my computer.
Someone wanna tell me what the FUCK is going on ???
Lamb threw the double play ball to Luke, who tried to throw that ball back to Lamb, but bounced it passed Lamb (who had a fair chance to stop it) so the the runner who started from first towards a certain inning ending double play, scored.
-
why is that an error on Luke?
-
the good news: it's only tied and cameron is done
-
why is that an error on Luke?
He bounced it.
I agree with you, though, Lamb let it get by him. The error should be on him.
-
why is that an error on Luke?
SHould not be. That will probably be changed. It was on the money
-
I am actually sitting here, maw agape.
I can't tell if I wish I had seen it or if I am glad I didn't.
-
why is that an error on Luke?
Because he should know better than to throw the ball to Mike Lamb when there is a runner in the vicinity that could distract him.
-
I am actually sitting here, maw agape.
I can't tell if I wish I had seen it or if I am glad I didn't.
Sure (or not) doubleplay
-
Bright spot is that Revert was solid once again.
-
I can't tell if I wish I had seen it or if I am glad I didn't.
The latter.
-
AE wastes no time, FHGH first pitch
-
Bright spot is that Revert was solid once again.
Of course he was. He did his job like he always does. Remind me, who was the genius who wanted to outright release him the other day? Cause, ya know, he sucks and everything?
-
Yeah, that play was mucho ugly after such damn good pitching from Roy. Every pitch/play is so much more crucial in a 1-0 game. At least that one only resulted in only one run and not more.
-
Ausmus looks ugly swinging K on slider down away
-
Of course he was. He did his job like he always does. Remind me, who was the genius who wanted to outright release him the other day? Cause, ya know, he sucks and everything?
It wasn't because he sucked, the idiot said he had no role on the team. Y'know he has hardly pitched any innings.
-
Lane gets his chance to show he should get more playing time...
Ks swinging on high outside fastball
...will not waste money on new cleats
-
It wasn't because he sucked, the idiot said he had no role on the team. Y'know he has hardly pitched any innings.
So it was. That's even better.
Anything good on TV over at the Doe household?
-
Qualls to Molina. Pence!!! does the two step on his way to a lazy fly out.
-
Feliz wastes his time running on a grounder to AE off a nice sinker from Qualls.
-
Vizquel gives Bidge some work. Good work again Qualls
-
So it was. That's even better.
Anything good on TV over at the Doe household?
The Astros. Husband not home.
-
Any chance Loretta hits for Biggio?
-
Well... Lamb's gonna get a shot to make amends here. This is a good case study to see if his offensive contributions do indeed outweigh his defensive liabilities.
-
Ok boys, saddle up a run here.
-
You know, it almost annoys me that that goddam Dicks commercial isn't running anymore. I mean, if you monkeys are going to show the thing every half inning for six innings, why not just keep it up for consistency's sake? It just makes their airing the commercial all the more maddening.
-
Qualls set for yet another win?
-
Everybody is biting on that slider away. It must be pretty nasty.
-
Sombrero for Bidge.
-
Houston with only 2 hits.
Bidge sees nothing but sliders down and away for the first 5 pitches. After a high inside FB fouled away, and a low outside fb taken for ball 3, he swings hard at ball 4 high.
-
Sombrero for Bidge.
Platinum? Golden?
-
Golden
-
Lamb (or goat?) Ks swinging weakly on a low away fb
-
Come on, El Caballo.
-
A bloop double would work.
-
Berkman walked on 5 pitches. Hennessy wanted nothing to do with him.
-
Lee with a nice easy swing takes the pitch right back up the middle. Berkman no chance to advance to 3rd.
-
Time for some goodness from OP...
-
Let's go Opie.
-
I sort of wish they'd tried to steal Lance again. That might have changed the way the outfield was aligned, for one thing.
-
Opie sporting a heafty .167 is apparently due.
-
Opie sporting a heafty .167 is apparently due.
Yeah, he hasn't had much to be happy about yet.
-
Opie chokes up about a foot on the bat. Seriously, cant these guys get bats made for them?
Sure you missed seeing Roy get win #7, but hey FREE BASEBALL (oh, and the wave)
-
...and the sadness continues for OP. And Bruntlett. Although I'm sure Burke would've popped up.
-
I had a good feeling about that matchup. I was down with OP.
-
Platinum? Golden?
If he'd had a Platinum, we likely still wouldn't be here.
-
Please don't show any more closeups of Evander's right ear. Please.
-
I had a good feeling about that matchup. I was down with OP.
Nice. 'zila!
-
Wheels to Aurilia (replacing Sweeny). Bidge takes care of the first out with a weak grounder to his left
-
Winn a good candidate for rittelin. His stance makes ME tired. Bidge takes care of a two bouncer.
-
I had a good feeling about that matchup. I was down with OP.
imagine what they're saying about Garner over at the Retard Bingo Palace. Phil can't take a dump without idjit second-guessing.
-
Lewis enjoyed watching Wheeler pitch. K
-
Who's hitting in the 9 hole? (i.e., who came in on the double switch that got Qualls in the game?)
-
Lane
-
imagine what they're saying about Garner over at the Retard Bingo Palace. Phil can't take a dump without idjit second-guessing.
Somebody probably called him a 'dummy' and promptly got banned for their inappropriate language.
-
Correia on the mound. Needs a haircut
Pence!!! with a Groundout!!! to 2nd.
Stros have Kd 14 times tonight.
-
imagine what they're saying about Garner over at the Retard Bingo Palace. Phil can't take a dump without idjit second-guessing.
Astrosdaily?
-
AE is at least hitting the ball. F8
-
Astrosdaily?
doesnt have a forum
-
Lane
Oh, right. That was a terrible at bat.
-
doesnt have a forum
So what place is the retarded bingo whatever?
-
Brad hit it sharply, but right to Aurilia at 2nd. I believe JD said the Giants relievers are the least used in MLB.
-
So what place is the retarded bingo whatever?
ezboard (which should have been a good clue to the quality there)
-
Somebody probably called him a 'dummy' and promptly got banned for their inappropriate language.
Ok, took a peek, they are using words like: ".....not" , "psyche", and "Yo mama!" That is inappropriate language to my ears.
-
Wheels to Klesko who pops out to the screen behind home plate. Fans awake to Boo. And sit down politely again.
-
ezboard (which should have been a good clue to the quality there)
Linked from Astrosdaily. Same crap.
-
JD throwing some smack at Barry.
-
terrible call by the home plate ump
-
Thought-it-was-Vagisil takes a charity ball for a walk.
-
terrible call by the home plate ump
Nah, ball 4 to Frankenbarry was way high.
-
Dan Ortmeier just called up from AAA. They dont see Wheeler-type stuff in Fresno. He'll be sure to tell them about it next week. K's swinging on splitter low and away
-
Molina not close to touching Wheels. K swinging
-
Does Wheels have an entry song yet? Not that I'm lobbying for one.
-
Nah, ball 4 to Frankenbarry was way high.
Not on my Tivo (which rarely modifies pitches anymore). Looping curve dropped in belt high.
-
Does Wheels have an entry song yet? Not that I'm lobbying for one.
please not "wheels in the sky"
-
Does Wheels have an entry song yet? Not that I'm lobbying for one.
Proud Mary
-
please not "wheels in the sky"
What a post for #3000.
Congrats, ETA.
-
Lane makes Chulk work to a full count before an F8 to Winn. Hitting .197
-
Not on my Tivo (which rarely modifies pitches anymore). Looping curve dropped in belt high.
I saw it only the once, but it looked like the catcher caught it belt high meaning it was high as it went through the zone. I didn't have a problem with the call.
-
What a post for #3000.
Crap....that sucked. Wasn't paying attention.
-
Bidge takes a fb down and away (go figure) right back out to the pitcher.
-
Bidge avoids the Platinum.
-
Crap....that sucked. Wasn't paying attention.
What a post for #3001.
-
Hitting .197
Not anymore.
-
This may be the worst overall crew I've seen since the Angel Hernandez All Stars.
Diaz couldn't find the outside corner or bottom of the zone for the first 7, now he's calling anything within 6 inches.
And remember when Jason Lane did stuff other than hit high pop ups? Me either.
-
Make it right, Clam.
-
Lamb F8 deep to the bullpen. Stros 3 up 3 down in 7 of 11 innings.
-
Fuck, "almost right" doesn't count.
-
Wait, did Brownie say "Lidge" and "applause?"
-
Lucas taking no chances with tonight's tie. Even the color blind complained.
-
Lidge in to get some work. I'm looking forward to this. 5th in the lineup, do up 3rd in the bottom of the inning.
Feliz pokes one past Bidge for a single. First hit for Giants since the 8th
-
Good job ETA, Deep East Texas is well represented here. 6,000+ posts of pure bullshit.
-
What a post for #3001.
I have spent the year of 2007, so far, celebrating my youngest son's 6th birthday, my middle son's 12th birthday, being booted from the house we lived in for the last 5 years because the family asked us to take care of it, by the family that asked us to take care of it, being forced by the judge to make us still take care of it even though we can't live there, being sued a few times for taking care of the family estate even though we have to take care of the family estate without getting paid for it and we don't want to take care of the family estate, having my oldest son arrested...twice...but celebrating his new job and school accomplishments....and I can't watch the Astros much anymore....
Screw post 3001.
-
Good job ETA, Deep East Texas is well represented here. 6,000+ posts of pure bullshit.
At least it is PURE Texas BS.
-
As a Texan courtesy, the Rangers have decided to play extras as well. No advantage for them tomorrow.
Vizquel Sac Bunt. Lidge to Bidge. Feliz to second
-
Aurilia broken bat ground out to Bidge. Feliz to 3rd.
JD points out Brad is falling off on his slider again (bad sign)
-
I have spent the year of 2007, so far, celebrating my youngest son's 6th birthday, my middle son's 12th birthday, being booted from the house we lived in for the last 5 years because the family asked us to take care of it, by the family that asked us to take care of it, being forced by the judge to make us still take care of it even though we can't live there, being sued a few times for taking care of the family estate even though we have to take care of the family estate without getting paid for it and we don't want to take care of the family estate, having my oldest son arrested...twice...but celebrating his new job and school accomplishments....and I can't watch the Astros much anymore....
Other than that, not much going on.
-
This is dangerous. Winn scares me right now.
-

well, the oldest wrecked my truck, too.
That may have hurt the most.
-
This is dangerous. Winn scares me right now.
How did you predict that?
-
Why the F not!
-
damn, Damn, DAMN!
-
Pressure situation for Lidge. Winn hitting .319 and Giants hottest hitter right now.
Full count base hit to 1st. Ball hit bag, bounced to Bidge who tossed to Lidge, but too late to catch Winn.
Giants take 2-1 lead.
-
you have gotta be kidding.
LidgeKarma.
-
How did you predict that?
Oh... maybe since that's Winn's 8th hit this series.
-
Well, that's a new one.
-
One of the strangest plays I have ever seen.
-
In-fucking-credible.
-
Well, fuck the luck.
-
Lidge beat Winn pure and simple with a full count, eats him up and all he can do is roll one down the line, and Winn gets that lucky bullshit bounce.
-
'tis okay, time to break out the lumber and win this damn thing. Give Lidge a W.
-
That was the most nerve-wracking AB. Lidge got squeezed on that 2-2 pitch to Winn. Shoulda been out of the inning since low balls have been strikes all night.
-
well, the oldest wrecked my truck, too.
That may have hurt the most.
I bet. You just don't mess with a man's truck. I hope he at least had permission to be driving it.
-
Cant blame Lidge for that. Got a ground out after a great Winn at bat, just an unlucky conclusion.
Lewis Ks swinging on a splitter down and away
-
Still wouldn't mind seeing Lamb go to the slaughter for this game. Gameday is already linkng the error replay. Wow. That was bad.

Don't matter--John Q. Astros fan will bitch about how Lidge has lost it and should be traded at once for a foul ball.
-
This is one of those "game of inches" games.
-
LIdge did great. Bidge nearly made the play on Feliz to start the inning. This close to a 1-2-3 inning.
-

Or take an excuse me swing and hit a weak oppo fly ball to the biggest cocksucker in baseball.
-
In fairness, Lidge threw Winn two fastballs that he fouled off that really should have been hit hard. He missed his location with both of them, especially the first. I don't know why Lidge was so reluctant to throw the slider to him. It's usually very effective against lefties.
-
Berkman pops up to HGH on the first pitch. Benitez on the mound
-
look how far Lee is off the plate.
-

A 2nd baseman with range makes that play and its a moot point, too.
-

Yup, that was confusing. Balls at the ankles have been called strikes tonight, and then that one wasn't.
But seriously, how many times do you see a ball hit a bag over the course of a year? Twice? Three times? And on the critical at-bat in extra innings? That's some serious bad luck. Not quite like having your son wreck your truck, but still not good.
-
Hey, that looked disgustingly familiar.
Looking K incoming.
-
Lee quickly in the hole 0-2. K swinging
-
That looked WAAAY familiar. This does not bode well.
-
That made my heart leap.
-
Well, that certainly would have been the most unexpected event of the evening.
-
But that wasn't.
-
Why PH Ensberg over Loretta?
-
Iceberg sends the fans home with a breeze.
-
deja vu.
-
Why PH Ensberg over Loretta?
Power. Or, "power."
-
Why PH Ensberg over Loretta?
tell it, sister!
-
Iceberg sends the fans home with a breeze.
Free air-conditioning. That's what the extra "power" was for.
-
Why PH Ensberg over Loretta?
Because Ensberg has a .0005 chance to hit a home run, while Loretta has a .00005 chance.
-
Why PH Ensberg over Loretta?
Garner had a hunch?
j/k
I would like a good answer to this.
-
Why PH Ensberg over Loretta?
me too
-
I think the BBG's were drunk tonight. Weird game.
-
look how far Lee is off the plate.
I noticed that too, thought that was really strange.
-

a series won. Last game hurt, but....
ok it hurt.
-
Just a few feet from 2 game tying homeruns. I think Ensberg needs a live chicken.
-
Why PH Ensberg over Loretta?
Like Mark said, you're not going to get two or three hits in the inning. Your only real hope is to accidentally hit one out. Even as bad as he is right now, Ensberg is more likely to hit one out than Loretta.
-
Garner had a hunch?

Mo had a double off Armando and a strikeout. Now he has two. Strikeouts. 1-3 career.
-
Why PH Ensberg over Loretta?
Hoping to get lucky with a HR?
The odds of the offense stringing together several hits in its current state are painfully low.
Fluky bad hops or no, I don't know if they could score again even if this thing went 20.
Lots of folks heading back into slumps or starting brand new ones the last couple of nights...
-
Ensberg vs Benitez: 2 AB 1 H 1 double
Loretta vs Benitez 11 AB 3 H all singles
-
a series won. Last game hurt, but....
ok it hurt.
Yeah, 2 out of 3 against the Giants is a good deal for the 'Stros, considering the way the Giants have manhandled them the last few years. Getting the win against Lowry yesterday was big.
-
Just a few feet from 2 game tying homeruns. I think Ensberg needs a live chicken.
I don't think "a few feet" is a reasonable description. They really weren't that close.
-

Where it crossed the pole is within 10 feet. Where it landed was much farther left.
-
The Cincy one wasn't as close, but still an exciting foul ball. Between this shot, the cincy shot and the line shot to the left fielder in the bases loaded Pittsburgh game, Ensberg has supplied some serious half second late game excitement. That and a nichel gets you five cents and 3 losses. Oh well.
