Race for the Race for the Lid
« on: September 27, 2017, 09:12:12 pm »
I believe I'm all caught up on absolutely everything that I've missed, including (critically) the remaining possible winners in this year's Race for the Lid. Starting right now, literally this very moment, you can make your pick of the correct winner for a chance to receive an authentic digital image of Tony Eusebio delivered to you via this website. The window for entries closes at an arbitrary time in the future that I have yet to determine. Your options:
  • 98 - Jacksonian
  • 99 - The Spleen
  • 100 - duman
  • 101 - drew corleone
  • 102 - blownranger
Good luck to everyone.

You might not be caught up on all the fine print but technically Duke is still in play and blownranger has been eliminated.

9.  Game 1 of the 2017 season will not be included in the win total (in other words, the pick is based on games 2-162.)
You might not be caught up on all the fine print but technically Duke is still in play and blownranger has been eliminated.

Guys. I know that in your hearts you believe you're coming from a good place, but I can't possibly be expected to care about details like this. Let's keep our eyes on the prize here, which in this case is a very handsome digital rendering of Tony Eusebio. There are 162 games in a baseball season, let's get out there and do great things with them. [several minutes of sustained clapping]

When did it stop being a Derek Bell Topps Card?

When I liquidated most of my earthly possessions to pay off the crippling debt amassed through years of purchasing collectible figurines from QVC, thanks for reopening old wounds.

So far I have bubba down for blownranger at 102, which may or may not actually be 101 or possibly 103.

Nothing.  I didn't count opening day because the picks did not start until after Game 1.     I get to make the rules for what I'm willing to spend my money.  I'm willing to give over the Race for the Lid since some seem to have issues with my rules.  But I know how people are willing to step up and help organize things on this board.

Can multiple people pick the same winner?  If so, would said authentic digital image of Tony Eusebio have to be split among the winners?  Would that be like how images used to load progressively back in the dialup days, where you can see the whole thing but you can't really see anything?
