Posted on August 17, 2007 by Duman in Bus Ride Archive

Brief late night recap since I will be out of pocket tomorrow. No paper links as they don’t get posted till after 3 EDT and I am not staying up.

Greeneville won 9-7. Observations in Greeneville thread, MILB’s wrap.

Tri Cites came back strong from the All Star Break with a 10 – 1 victory. Dixon went 4 for 5 with two doubles, 4 RBI and Delome went 3 for 5 with a homer. The ValleyCats turned 3 double plays in the game to support pitching that combined for 10 Ks.

Lexington had the day off.

Chris Salamida gave up 7 earned runs in 5 innings, allowing two homers to take the loss in Salem’s 7-2 loss to Kinston. Myrtle Beach also lost so they stay ahead in the play off race.

Ray Sadler hit his 21st homer to no avail as the Hooks lost 6-4. Recently signed righty, Tim Lavigne gave up two runs in the top of the 9th to take the loss. Brian Bogusevic struggled again giving up 4 runs on 7 hits and 3 walks in 4 1/3 innings.

Round Rock starter Chan Ho Park, served up 3 homers in 5 innings. The final damage for Park was 9 hits, one walk and 8 earned runs. Wesson hit a 3 run homer and Saccomanno went 4 for 4 in the 11-5 loss.
