Hidalgo and Scott are though and they are the men task with fighting for the open position in right field and also a backup spot (along with Lane).  Right now, Lane is doing everything to show he can man the job off the bench as a right handed bench outfielder and power hitter late in the game.  A very valuable role for the club.  Hidalgo is lagging behind.

If Pence were to be a candidate for a job, it would have to be start or nuttin' because it would be a *HUGE* waste to be the role player Lane is fighting for at minimum.  Pence starting means both Scott and Lane are on the outside looking in because you'd have to think about moving one of them and benching the other.  In Lane's case, fine, but then you'd lose the left handed bat that Scott brings to the equation.

I think Pence needs to be a centerfield candidate seriously over Burke, but then what do you do with Burke?  Trade him?  It would have to be and you'd better get something of value this late in the spring or else you've made a huge mistake.  Looks more and more that Pence can be a legit starter in CF if he goes down to AAA, puts in his work and time, waits for the call-up this year because someone always gets hurt and then once you make it up here, work hard to *stay* up here.

Lopez reaches on error by Biggio.  Attempts a steal and the throw gets through.  Lopez to third.

Castro flies out, throw goes to home (misses cutoff man) but runner stayed at third.

Zimmerman K's.

WP during Kearns at bat gets the runner home.

Kearns strikes out.

Biggio doubles to LF.

Loretta (dunno--had to step out of office, but Biggio got to 3rd) ah---Milo actually recapped Loretta flied out

Berkman singles to right.  Biggio scores.

5-4-3 DP

Guys-I gotta go.  If someone else can do pbp---I can follow it in class, but I can't listen to the game.  Thanks.

Yes.  We've been over this, I think.  Anyone who has managed to find this page can certainly find MLB.com.  Merely reporting the current situation as above with a link to the box score serves no purpose other than to get people's hopes up.  I wish I could listen on line at work.  If I could, I would be glad to take my turn providing real pbp.  Many thinks to those who do try to provide both pbp and color.  But please ... don't just post unhelpful links to the live scoreboard ... I (and probably others lurking here for more insight) already have that open in a separate window anyway.

I just came back,  Biggio just tied the game with a homerun.  Berkman just singled, missed the location.

The problem has nothing to do with not knowing the link.

I largely needed to do the same today from work.  There sure seemed to be a plethora of talent on the bump for the Astros today:

Oswalt, Albers, Lidge, Patton, Astacio and Barthmaier.

That's very nice to see.
The test of a true champion is how he reacts to adversity on days when it is bound to come.
