Hobbs hits a homer but Backe roughed up, Astros still win

Luke "Hobbs" Scott hit a three run shot to right field to help the Astros and Brandon Backe win their game with the Dee-troit Tiggers tonight in Lakeland.  The Astros were holding on to a 5-1 lead in the third inning when Backe lost control and started to walk everyone in sight. It didn't help that Mike "Clank" Lamb absolutely took a page out of Dmitri "E7" Young's book "How to play a lousy left field in two easy lessons: See the ball, don't catch it!".  The error on the routine fly ball was enough to rally the slumbering Tiggers in putting up a five spot on Backe.

No problem though as Hobbs took opposing pitcher (and Opening day starter for the Tiggers) Jason Johnson deep into the night pass the right field wall for a three run shibby and regain the lead 8-5.  The game ended as a 8-7 win by the good guys traveling squad.  Now it's back to Kissimmee for a Saturday game agin the hated Co-ards.  Roy Oswalt will take the hill to continue working on his pitches to tune her up for Opening Day against... well... these same hated Co-ards!  Gametime is set for noon central time and guess what!?!?  It's televised on FSN!  Dierk, take it away bay-bee!
