Make sure those scalped tickets are for the right venue...
« on: September 27, 2006, 04:33:02 pm »
From mlb.com (here, at the bottom of the page):

Quote:

A possible playoff for the NL Central between the Cardinals and the Astros would be played Oct. 3 at Houston's Citizens Bank Park.

So double-check those tickets from Ebay.  If they say the game's at MinuteMaid, they're probably fake.

It's not BBG-taunting, you can already buy NLDS tickets...

Thanks.  But I'm looking for a potential 1-game playoff with the Jakes.  When will those go on sale?  After Sunday?

Damn.  Wish I would've known this earlier.  The only two seats left together for either game (best available) are in the view deck.  Damn scalpers.

Good singles still available though.

Just add yourself to Astros ticket alerts through MLB.com subscriptions.  You'll get promotional e-mails periodically through the year, but you'll also get the pre-sale passwords for spring trainging, regular, and postseason games.

I'm assuming those bastards won't be refunding any so-called convenience charges if the games aren't played.

"So-called"?  They're extremely convenient for TicketBastards (tm).  You're just looking through the wrong end of the telescope.

I called yesterday and was told they would not go on sale until Monday after the StL and San Fran game was final.

Muchas gracias.

I'm guessing that it has to be a night game, as SFG have to travel to STL (so maybe a night game there), STL then have to travel here (if necessary) and the winner gains a couple of hours heading off to the West Coast for a game on Wednesday.

But then, nothing MLB do ever makes that kind of sense.

You're omitting the most important factor: what's convenient for the Yankees?

You're right.  The teevee will fuck this sequence of games all over the clock, just so the Yankmees can be in Priiiime Tiiiiime.
