I am pumped about the Houston Rockets.  The only team to win this city anything and they look like a contender this year.

I"m gonna take in some of the games on this final homestand.  Silly me; I'm a fan.

Silly you; I'm not a fan and never have been.  I've just been regularly reading this fucking Astros-related message board for the last five years because I like following conversations between crotchety ex-jocks who I've never met (and Alkie).

Leave tomorrow so I don't have to listen to you being a whiny little puke for another month.

How is this not whining?

"How the fuck does Jason Lane let that ball get behind him? If he's not tripping over his dick out there, no way Spezio scores. And if Aubrey Huff doesn't lollygag a ball into a triple earlier...

Damn I'm getting pissed at the Astros outfield defense.

Commenting, even angrily, on actual plays that happen during a game is not whining.  The "season is over, woe is me" crap is.  If you don't want to watch the games, don't fucking watch them.

This "I'm a better fan than you" is getting really old.

HH and Joey's rants, were pretty similar to me. Neither "whinning" in my opinion, just Astros fans showing their frustration with a VERY frustrating and under-achieving season.

Yeah, let's all rush in and apologize for Joey's unusually petty give-up-the-ghost post.  What a surprise?!

We're ALL pissed about how this game and this season have gone.  Me?  I'll just stay stupid and keep trying to get my familty to games and lurking here to see what I'm supposed to think.  AKA, I just found the absurdity of, "Season's over; think I'll got to EuroLand," a bit odd.

Here's a toast to abusing the stupid privilege.  Joey only gets to go to Euro; I get to go to TULSA & MUSKOGEE tomorrow.  Don't you wish you were me...errrrrrrrrr...I?

Oh, thank you, Plan-oh dweller.*  I was merely borrowing a line from a movie, based on his humorous retort to my anemic little effort at humor, JT's "I just like to...." post.

Hope not, since I'm going to the Stars training camp Thursday through Saturday.

When was the last time Lindros delivered on the expetations people have for him?  What, then, are realistic expectations?  I'd say if you get more than half a season and 60 points you ought to be very happy.

I was thinking that was a Warren Oates line the first go-around, but I couldn't place it.  Was it his line or Schieder's?  I'm presuming they got over with that line on Stern?

Anyway, I spoke with Berkman tonight about this whole Joey Trum thing, and Lance seems to think from HIS knowledge of the sitaution that it's all a big misunderstanding on MY part.  Lance said he has a disturbingly large following in the SF area (it's GOTTA be his eyelashes, I told him), but that this Trum guy's on the level and that I should wish the guy and his wife well on their trip to EuroLand.....so....enjoy?

Yeah, Berkman loves San Francisco.  He tells me it's because he can walk around wearing eye shadow and nobody ridicules him with epithets like "Maybelline"

Plus, it's cool out here to be a dude with a name like "Lance."

Probably more cool if you have that name and can bicycle from the BV to the top of the hill in less than a minute, lashes or NO lashes.
