?That?s fucking horrible.  Do your job!?

These were Roger Clemens? parting words to CB Bucknor as he left the game with 2 on and 1 out, the score 0-0, in the 7th.

Lets back up a bit.

In the 3rd, one out Taveras gets caught going on first move and gets thrown out.

In the 4th, runners 1st and 2nd, 1 out, Burke strikes out and Ensberg is thrown out trying to steal 3rd.

In the 6th, 2 outs, Burke grounds out.

Lets spend some time on the 7th.  Preston Wilson started the inning with a single, his 3rd of the game.  He advanced around to 3rd when Nate Robertson threw wild on a pickoff attempt.  With no outs, Ausmus K?d on a slider, Everett pops high to 1st, Taveras grounded out to 2nd ending the inning.

Bottom the 7th, one out, Clemens walks Magglio Ordonez.  On a 3-2 pitch (edit) to Carlos Guillen, Clemens throws a strike RIGHT DOWN THE MIDDLE OF THE PLATE.  Ausmus comes up throwing and gets Ordonez, running to second on the pitch by 3 feet.  However, CB Bucknor called the pitch a ball.  Clemens erupts.  ?DO YOUR JOB!? he yells.  Bucknor removes his mask and smirks.  Garner comes out and relieves Clemens for Wheeler.

Clemens has pitched 11.1 innings for the Astros.  In those innings the Astros have scored 0 runs.

Wheeler is on in ?relief?.  Runners 1st and 2nd one out.  He hangs a slider to Monroe who bangs it off the left field wall, missing a homerun by a foot.  One run scores, Everett takes the cutoff throw, turns looks to home, wheels to 2nd, and tries to get Monroe coasting in to 2nd.  He overthrows Burke.  Another run scores and Monroe advances to 3rd.   With 2 outs, Inge grounds sharply to third.  Ensberg misplays the ball off his glove, the 3rd run scores.

Do your job.

Top the 8th, the Astros get the 1st 2 runners on.  Ensberg fouls out, Berkmans strikes out, and Burke follows with a strikeout.

Do your job.

Tigers tack on a homer.

?THAT?S  FUCKING HORRIBLE! DO YOUR JOB!

Tomorrow at noon Petitte vs Verlander.
