Royals over Astros 6-5 to open the series

You've seen this one before.  Astros score early, then they go into their Norwegian Blue Offense.  They only move when you give their cage a good shake.  Likely the total lack of movement was due to it bein' tired and shagged out following a prolonged squawk.  A solo homerun by Burke and a 3 run by Berkman provided the early score.

Then there was Mr Oswalt.  7, if you had the number 7 you were the winner in last nights' Oswalt Inning Sweepstakes.  After Sparky gave up the homer to Cuddyer to tie it at 1, he started showing the Twins the breaking balls.  They were mystified, until the 7th, then something happened.  The balls flattened out and then, with one out, bottom of the order produced 3 singles in a row.  The third single was an RBI and Preston Wilson set up the rest of the scoring by missing the cut off man and throwing home in an impossible attempt to stop the run.  Runners moved up to 2nd and 3rd.  There followed a perfect dp groundball, but, in the present situation, turned into a run scoring fc.  With the one runner on 2nd, the Twins 3b Punto hit a fly ball towards the left field line.  Wilson ran over and made one of his awkward falling back leaps.  He missed the catch by a foot but it landed at the base of the wall.   The game is tied.

In the 9th Lidge allows a run on a single, stolen base, fc, and then a wild pitch that bounced off of Ausmus' throat.  Wilson tied the score in the bottom with a homerun.

But, real quick, in the top the 10th, Morneau homered off of T.Miller.  There was no answering homerun from the Astros in the bottom of the 10th.

Interleague nightmare continues, 7:05, W.Rodriguez v Carlos Silva
